Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thank you all for helping me. I listed it on a FB group and sold it that same day. I hate that I won't get to go, but at least I didn't lose the money I had spent. I know I won't ever get as good a deal, so I may never get to try Virgin.
  2. One other thing, at the time I booked I wish I had realized that travel agents are important when booking with Virgin, I wish I had known about Walter back then. I have been on over 40 cruises with other lines, but this would have been my 1st with Virgin.
  3. cantgetin, My original booking was a paid in full through Virgin direct, they assigned it to a travel agent of their choosing. I did get insurance through Virgin, and I know most people won't understand, but the reason I want to cancel is because my dog although at the time I booked was healthy and happy, and I had someone to watch him, now has a health issue. I am not comfortable asking someone else to take care of him at this point, I'm 61 day's out. I appreciate your quick reply, I just wanted to make sure I understood my options. It's disappointing to have to cancel with all the great bonuses I had, but life happens.
  4. I was originally booked on one of the Brillant Lady sailing, rebooked after it was cancelled for the 8 night Eastern Antilles cruise. Now it looks like I need to cancel. I called Virgin and she was very sweet, said my insurance would give me a refund, or I could get a credit to use within 1 year, or I can sell. I went to the insurance website and they seem to need proof of a death, a Dr. letter, or Jury Duty ect. not the reasons I need to cancel. I want to make sure I understand, if I take the credit I must cruise within 1 year and I lose my 700 bar tab, and my 700 sailor loot, but if I am able to sell it to someone they would get to use the bar tab and loot. Can any of you that are more familiar with Virgin give me any guidance please.I have tried calling the person listed on my booking as the travel agent with Virgin and she does not answer or call me back.
  5. I was supposed to be on the November 18th sailing that got cancelled and I rebooked for next July. May I ask where you received the offer? Was it a call or an email, or did it just show up in your manage booking screen? It's been several years since I've cruised Carnival and I used to get a phone call asking if I wanted to upgrade. Thank you for posting.
  6. Thanks everyone for the quick replies, I am an idiot, there is a tiny little round logo in the top left hand corner that says Faster to the fun! I think my brain is already on vacation. 😂
  7. Thank you for your quick reply, it doesn't and thats why I was concerned.
  8. Sorry I've tried the search function, this is the first time I've used FTTF and today I printed my Boarding Pass and luggage tags, but I don't see anything that identifies us having the FTTF. Do I need to print something else, or do they know by the color of your luggage tags, just wondering? Thank you all for any information.
  9. Hotel rooms are expensive and I have to cancel 2 days prior, otherwise I get charged, so hopefully we hear something sooner rather then later.
  10. I'm supposed to fly out this Friday to get on the Panorama Saturday, typically when will Carnival contact us if they are making changes?
  11. I've done several with Royal and 1 with NCL, great itineraries and terrific islands. I've stayed at a Four Seasons resort in Nevis years ago, to me spend time on St Kitts rather than waste part of the day going back and forth to the island. The ships I've gone on were all large ships, with many activities. These were all 7 day cruises out of San Juan, and it would wonderful to do the back to back, but work just gets in the way.
