P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?

I am sorry that your mum is still having problems, hopefully the bisoporol will stabilise her heart rate before October. -

Thank you, I already avoid tomatoes because since I had a stomach problem 12 years ago tomatoes seem to upset my stomach, I don't eat a lot of potatoes except the occasional baked one because I prefer green and root vegetables I will try the rinsing and soaking though, anything to reduce the potassium. I do like a few chips if we are eating out but they are a rarity in our house. My task for tomorrow is to investigate what foods to eat to reduce potassium. -

Back from the hospital and everything is fine other than slightly raised potassium levels so no more bananas coming into this house. Everything was running late due to an "incident" earlier this morning. I don't know what the incident was but as we walked from the carpark down to the hospital we noticed 2 police cars outside A&E. -

A bright sunny morning here which I am grateful for since I have a cardiology appointment this morning and didn't want to get soaked walking from the off site carpark. 0ur neighbour was up there yesterday and his wife had to drop him off outside the outpatients department then go off to park because even though he has a disability badge they couldn't find an on site parking space. Have a good day everyone. -
15 years after retiring I still have no idea what day or date it is. My friend says "Everyday is a good day if I don't have to work".

Horrible weather here today, high winds, rain, bits of blue sky keep trying to break through but quickly replaced by horrible grey clouds. It made for an interesting school run with bits of trees everywhere and a lot more children being taken to school in the car. -

A beautiful day here too, nice blue skies currently 8°c but predicted to get up to 10°c I was up just after 5 am ( thank you to the dogs who live next door and obviously asked to go out early this morning ). We are planning to go to Bridgemere today to get some plants to start the baskets and pots off around the patio and borders. Have a lovely day everyone whatever you are doing. -

I make sure that it is completely cold and put it in a large plastic airtight food container. Homemade bread doesn't keep as long as massed produced bread. -
We always take our passports ashore with us along with copies of our insurance because we have been on several cruises where passengers have had accidents ashore and missed the ship and had to get to the next port usually with some help from the cruise line's local contacts.

Clear blue skies and 12° here ths morning, I just hope it lasts 🤞. Nothing planned other than the school run and staying in the house. I have developed a bad cold which will make bowling fun tomorrow afternoon but at least I will be out getting fresh air and exercise. My sister has threatened us with a visit tomorrow morning with her toddler grandson who likes to explore the bungalow looking for the non-existent stairs 🤣 -
It certainly wasn't the situation on Monday, when we left Sky Princess we were given a time to leave the ship and our luggage was not in the baggage hall.

Beautiful cat, looks like our last cat Tom. We always had a cat and a dog until we had to have the last dog euthanised because of old age and a few months later the last cat followed him to the great animal party in the sky. We were both so upset to lose both of them so close together that we could not bring ourselves to try to replace them -
We have done over 40 cruises with Princess and have never encountered problems before, the disembarkation groups were being called out on board but when we got into the baggage hall the bags had not arrived. I think there was obviously some miscommunication somewhere which didn't surprise me since the whole cruise was one problem after another. We were thinking of cancelling our next cruise but have decided that hopefully things will have settled down before then and if not we will switch either to Celebrity or Cunard next year.

New car chosen, ordered and expected delivery end of April / beginning of May. We are both looking forward to getting back to driving a Mazda rather than a Toyota.
