  1. in all of the pictures and videos of the Sanctuary on the Sun I don’t remember ANY of the massage cabanas that they have on all of Grand class ships. There are cabanas to rent ($500/day) but they have couches in them. No massage tables)
  2. We are/were in the same situation as you. We are traveling with our daughter and 9 and 11 year old granddaughters. We took them on the Caribbean two years ago and had a wonderful time!!! (But they were 7 and 9 and loved the kids club area with its splash pad - something a 12 year old wouldn't!) This time we chose the Sun because I thought they'd enjoy Park 19. (I hope they're old enough/tall enough to participate)..I also like Princess Cay because they love beaches. We've been to the Caribbean many, many times and don't sail for the ports anymore so that changes our perspective. I'm interested to hear other's opinions.
  3. If you're getting the Plus package the first two people in a cabin have to have the same thing. So make sure the 18 year old is passenger number 2. For the 17 year old , as passenger number 3, you could wait to decide once on board. We have a somewhat similar situation except that passenger number three is 9. MY wonderful TA also observed that if we wait until onboard we can use OBC to pay for her package if we decide to get it.
  4. If you mean a future cruise deposit the answer is no. They charge the credit card you have on file directly.
  5. I also expected everything there to be included in the (already steep) cruise fare.
  6. THANK YOU!!!! This is the best description of what it's like sailing in a cabana mini suite that I've read! I have a question - if you've sailed in a regular balcony cabin in the past, was the cabin darker than that because of the enclosed cabana area between it and the balcony? ***
  7. And now Celebrity has removed gratuities from their packages so that insurance for the crew is gone. 🥵
  8. I'll ask again about what choices a minor traveling as a third in stateroom with 2 adults has. We are taking our 9 year old granddaughter. We usually get the Plus package for the two of us. We never get the desserts and don't use the fitness classes .We are all vegetarians so the casual meals are of dubious value for us. If she had a package she would use the gratuities, the Wifi, those gross desserts and probably the juice bar. She's not even old enough for the fitness classes and doesn't drink soda or ,obviously, alcohol. So what options do we have for her? Pay as you go?
  9. Does anyone know how to tell which cabins will hold 3 passengers? There used to be little symbols next to cabin numbers but I can't find them for the Sun. EDIT: I figured out how to find it. ***
  10. While we're on the topic - is there a package for minors when they're the third passenger in the cabin if the two adults in the cabin have the Plus package ?
  11. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it so much as it's uaully our favorite place on the ship also. Were you staying in a suite? It's not clear from your post. If so, then did you sit in the suite area or the regular area?
  12. Couldn't you just eat lunch there the first day and ask all of those questions then? They used to let us use the gratis Specialty meal any time in the cruise rather than just the first night. Too bad that went away.
  13. Any chance you found any shady spots up there? EDIT : You already answered this. Sorry!
  14. Did you ask them to change the chairs for recliners? I've seen photos of reclining chairs on Reserve mini suite balconies so it would seem to me that if a full suite guest requested those recliners (not full lounges but just reclining chairs) the steward might be able to accommodate.
