  1. Thank you, POA1. My little brain was challenged by the mixture of Android and iOS instructions. I worked my way slowly through your instructions and made the following notes for iOS that I will take on my cruises, unless someone points out any blunders: Fix for iOS on board Wi-Fi constant login issue: 1. Tap Settings App (gear icon). 2. Tap the ship's Wi-Fi. 3. Tap the “i” next to the ship's Wi-Fi. 4. Toggle Private Wi-Fi Address to off. 5. Tap Continue despite the warning about temporary interruption. 6. Turn Wi-Fi off and back on. Note the privacy warning next to the ship's Wi-Fi. 7. Note: This affects only the selected ship's Wi-Fi network, no other networks.
  2. I would be tempted to crash the Park West party, maybe with a large group of like minded individuals.
  3. 20% 1 star reviews for ReliefBand on Amazon is not impressive. The bands sound like quackery to me, but then I don't go for acupuncture, cupping therapy, aroma therapy, crystal healing, therapeutic touch, detoxification schemes, ear candling, phrenology, magnet therapy, Reiki, or coffee enemas.
  4. Welcome to Cruise Critic, Cagg. I was taken aback by your thread title. As a baby boomer from the USA, I remember "fellow traveller" as a term for a communist sympathiser.
  5. Thanks for another great cruise blog, shark b8. It was over too soon. Please book longer cruises and keep blogging.
  6. Ah, the joys of the trial and error system to figure out a unique shower control system. This one is scary. Is that a boiler attached to the shower head?
  7. Get insoles from your fitness instructor and exercise help from your podiatrist.
  8. It isn't the walking that I like about promenade decks, Hank, it's the lounge chairs. I love to sit and read on the promenade deck, beats any balcony cabin I have had. The promenade deck is closer to the water, gives a wider view, and has the option of shady/sunny and windy/calm and island view/ocean view. Not a deal breaker for me, my next ship will not have a promenade deck.
  9. Ooh! Ooh! Me! Me! I consider door decorations tacky... Moreso when they include a political message.
  10. 1) I did not find 38 days too many, knew I could do more, not sure about my wife. I have no clue how you will do. 2) People who tire of cruise line food must eat a much more varied diet at home than I do. 4) Yes, HAL provides onboard activities. Can you entertain yourself if they are not to your liking? 5) Heat and humidity are common near the equator. You are probably leaving the best weather of the year at home. I would prefer the reverse itinerary with a number of 25 hours days instead of 23 hour days. 6) Flying to Aukland from Georgia will be unpleasant at best, takes somewhere around 24 hours and you'll arrive two calendar days after you depart.
  11. I think they are sections of support towers for wind turbines. Great reports, I appreciate the time you spend entertaining me.
  12. Like boatmad reported, there was a USB outlet on a table lamp in our Zaandam cheap suite.
  13. Exactly. Bigwigs may hog the specialty restaurants or other venues for events you aren't invited to. There may be plenty of teething problems for staff and facilities. I would wait until the reviews are in. Would anyone be impressed that you were on the first sailing?
