  1. Passing by on sail way yesterday and we did wave as we approached Brian’s condo
  2. They even had Mexican dancers. Debbie was sure the bride and groom had practiced for hours as they were so good and synchronized, it was very nice until midnight as the volume increased 😉 IMG_2681.mov
  3. At Rierside after our dinner with Brian and Michelle, we passed by a beautiful bride getting photos. Would’t you know it. there was a wedding. Of purse we did’t see the ereoy it we had fu watching the reception IMG_2678.mov IMG_2679.mov IMG_2680.mov
  4. Yes ES has gone downhill from reviews and reports. Riverside Las Olas is really nice. Got a corner balcony room with lovely. Views of the boats and canal. Breakfast is not included but it is very reasonable and well done. Spanish omelette from yesterday with avocado, etc. sans jalapeños for me Bagel & lox for Deb and delicious coffee
  5. Thanks Bino conflicts today with Mariner’s reception, Mert and Greet/wine tasting so I guess bingo will be tomorrow. ‘Sigh’.
  6. There’s also a drug storeand wine store in the same mall about 4blocks away. Hotel told us about it and it didn’t show up on my research either.
  7. Thanks Brian for your never ending research. I’ll keep that in mind for next year. That spinach and artichoke dip was so good though 🙂 Nope - no bubble wrap. I came home fine last time. Don’t hold a one off against me 😉. I have my walking sticks to help my foot. Work pretty good.
  8. Thanks so much Gerry. Sorry, behind - couldn’t post on CC yesterday. Multi quote and quote and reply wouldn’t work. Hopefully today it is ok and I can catch up 🤞 Nice sail away - delayed only by loading so very many supplies so I guess the ship should be well stocked.
  9. I’ll do my best to get it added for you. It’s not the 3 week notice I ask for week notice I ask for and I am now cruising
  10. You are most welcome Brian 🙂. It was a pleasure chatting with you and Michele. Good company, good food, good drinks - what else could anyone ask for? For everyone else - we ate at Golden Lyon at Riverside Hotel Las Olas. We though the food was good - especially the spinach dip - delish! Regretfully I forgot about food porn and I told Debbie it was her job to say Food Porn if she didn’t see me get out my phone like Jose used to 😘
  11. I think we are going to be at the Sea View Pool. I didn’t request a wave as everything was so up in the air. I can try today if it isn’t too late.
  12. Oh that was just a 10 hour delay. Ugh. I’ve decided I am not lucky 😜 this was trickier waiting for the 95th hour to be cleared which was not anticipated but we are here and life is good. We do stop in Newport but the time has been shortened severely. We had a lovely time with Poohby Joes’ parents. They didn’t bring him tonight. I guess he is confined to the condominium 😂 Please, do come join us at our Meet and Greet - 2 PM in the Crow’s nest on our first sea day (day after embarkation - April 22). We have a few solos on the cruise and you would be most welcom kudos to you for doing your first sailing after your loss. It’s a step we all must take. I’ve done a few. It’s not the same and even now still tough at times but just carry on and carry through. My condolences on your loss 😢. I sadly know how much it hurts 💔 A few? LOL. And maybe a tad of havoc - we’ll see - we will be on good behaviour of course but there are times for laughs. We’re aiming for those and not too many tears. Thank so s much all for the good wishes. Stay tuned for the goodd, the bad and the ugly (if there is any). You know me, I call a spade a spade.
  13. Good afternoon from lovely, warm Florida. For the first time since I lost DD DH, I’m not travelling solo. I have invited a friend to join me - also a widow. We are boarding the Volendam tomorrow for a nice relaxing 13 cruise to Montreal, Canada. It’s been very challenging to get here with a lot of last minute hiccups but here we are and we are going. The story is too long and I won’t bore you - let’s just say that I didn’t know until Thursday morning if I could go or not, flight delay got us in at midnight starving since we only got water and either a package of sugary/salty snacks on our flight. We were starving so by the time we checked in, got some food and wound down it was close to 2 AM FLL time. But we’re here and happy that we are 🙂 there will be food porn, (of course) a where /what is for dinner and other tidbits hopefully not repeating Rich’s thread for his 134 day cruise. Question is - will two very good friends of many years still be friends after sharing a hotel room and cabin for 15 days? 😂. It’s her birthday on this cruise as well as her DD DH’s so I am hoping to make it as joyful as I can for her. 🤞 Looking forward to boarding tomorrow and hope those of you interested will join us. This is our itinerary before it got changed from one port to Portland. It’s all good - nice spots & someone else is doing the cooking 😉 We plan to enjoy and hope we don’t create too much havoc on board 😂 We will do our best to behave 😂
