Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We are arriving in Malaga in April. I was wondering if anyone has walked to the Castillo de Gibralfaro and Alcazaba from the ship. Finding either location, seems difficult when looking at Google maps. I was hoping someone had the experience with either place.
  2. Does anyone have any experience with taxis in the port at Barcelona? Trying to decide between taxi and a transfer with the ship.
  3. Has anyone been on the Oosterdam lately? We were wondering how many power outlets are in the room. Our last cruise there was only one plug by the mirror/vanity.
  4. After reading your review, the land trip sounds very regimented. We may rethink our plans. We were planning on the tour Y3c. Not crazy about the early mornings and long bus rides
  5. Am I correct in reading the bus ride between Whitehorse and Dawson was 8 hours?
  6. Hi Alphen, Thanks for the review posted. What were the buses like? Comfy? Washroom onboard? Scenic windows? The trip we are looking at has more bus transportation than air.
  7. Just wondering if I can get some feedback on Alaska Cruise Tours. There doesn't seem to be a lot of discussion on the topic. We are thinking about taking one next spring, leading through the Yukon from Skagway and spending three nights at Denali. Anyone with feedback? Suggestions? Comments on Whitehorse and Dawson City? I am also wondering where I can see a price for the meal plan offered on the land portion of the trip? Feedback? Is it worth it?
  8. Harv and Marv's Outback Alaska | Juneau Whale Watching (harvandmarvs-juneau-whale-watching.com) By far the best company we went on an excursion with. They meet you right at the pier, transport you to the dock. Very personal, gave us lots of little sightseeing tips on the way back. Stopped at the glacier as we had extra time.
  9. We decided to stay in Brooklyn as we just want to catch the ship at the Brooklyn terminal and are not interested in sightseeing in New York. My question: Anyone with experience with New York taxis? Do they charge a flat rate? Is it credit card only? Is the tip added on or do you need cash? Are there a company more reliable than another? Sorry for the silly questions but it had been a long time since we were in a big city like New York. Everything has changed so much since Covid.
