Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thanks, I'm good with the 4 months prior. Seems like 3 nights are ok to book. It's amazing how quickly an inside cabin at sale prices gets up to about 500pp for a 3 night. There aren't many 3 nights from SoFL; it's like they've said Coco Cay wins and aren't really competing in the 3 night market.
  2. Thanks for the info! If I understand the current promo it says you can double up on ANY cruise so I'm assuming that could be inside cabin 3 night sailing. I found a cruise for 600 but didn't realize it ended in DR after 3 night sailing so would need to fly back. So cheapest now is $952 for 2 pax on inside 3 night out of Miami.
  3. I think I can book a cruise in 2025 with a certificate that expires in 2024 but if something happens and can't go I loose it all. The expiration date refers to booking and not sailing but couldn't rebook anything once in 2025 and certificate has expired. Do I have that right or do I need to book AND sail before expiration date? ps If I find a cheap inside cabin for 600 and apply 500 of cruise next b/c able to double up on any category with current promo, am I able to just sail for the 100 difference? There aren't any restrictions on what the money goes towards; i.e. cruise fare but not gratuities and taxes? Thanks again.
  4. Hi all, There's a current promo where can double up on any category which seems good. Think still need to book 4 months out. My certificates have been extended until 2024; I'm not sure if the rules are any different on extended ones, do I just need to book by 2024 or also need to sail by expire date? Can they be redeposited back as long as they haven't expired (12/24)? If I just want to try to cash out and find a friend who has booked an NCL cruise but not made final payment, can I transfer the certificates to the friend as long as they can sail before 12/24? Or would they need to use the certificate when doing initial booking? Thanks so much for any info!
  5. I can confirm these windows and small sections leading to one line after parking but before enter building. We got in line about 5 mins before our time of 11:30 in the 11:30-12:00 "line" but there was no one standing in any of the lines so just walked right thru. It was a very nice time to arrive, after they'd processed the earlybirds.
  6. I was planning to get to parking about 30 mins before scheduled arrival time allowing time to get down and thru security but I guess arrival time could be checked at terminal garage or security. Thanks.
  7. Thanks for your review. It will help prepare expectations of full and hot summer cruises.
  8. Thanks everyone for all the info. Do they still come at you boarding day with premade "welcome drinks" that newbies sometimes think are being offered for free? I can't recall if saw them last cruise but I assume if my grown kids grab one they can use D perk up to $14. Maybe that sort of stopped with drink packages.
  9. Sailing with other D's can you take multiple cards up and grab drinks? With needing to sign and prepaid tips not added in, I'm guessing it could be different than taking a few singles and cards up making a UBP purchase. Also, now that they print receipts I assume servers happy enough to just get tip there. I'm old school with the singles but the young adults in our group consider touching money akin to checkbooks; archaic.
  10. Thanks for this info. Is there a way to tell you can still use cell service safely w/o getting high charges? Something to turn off on phone so don't accidently enter an area of charge? I've always strictly turned off phone at sail away.
  11. Wow, I was unsure they'd give unopened but if they do that's a great option and looks like Foster's might be biggest bang for the voucher.
  12. Thanks, I'm not familiar with seeing that, just the big overhead that has frappaccinos, etc for 5.99 or something and I wondered if the shot was priced out separately. Not trying to cheat the system or anything lol. I'm assuming they will take any iced coffee drink and add some booze to it b/c it's there and the cost will be under the limit. 👍
  13. Thanks everyone. Is the cover charge $12? I got a couple different numbers via google and assumed highest was latest. FOS if it varies by ship.
  14. I'm assuming can't use BOGO for two people to go to lunch (is it even open for lunch on 3 night?) b/c it's a dinner promo, right? If tried to go for dinner would two people be charged just one cover charge (as opposed to both paying and being told they have a "credit" to come back for another JRs dinner)? I don't see JRs excluded from bogo info but also not sure it's considered specialty restaurant. Anyone had luck using D+ (probably for the kids) to get a milkshake without paying cover and dining there? Specifically FOS if it varies by ship. Thanks again.
