Anyone ever use this company for transfers to FCO from the port thanks
  2. Thanks…..the ship docks at 6:00 and the group I have booked a transfer for 8:00. Two have 12:30 flights, two have 1:30 flights and my wife and I are overnighting in Fiumicino. i did not realize there would be no passport control. What time should I tell the others to start heading out to meet the transfer. I was thinking 7:15
  3. We are off the RCCL Oasis in Civitevecchia and must catch our transfer to FCO at 8:00. A large portion of the ship’s passengers embarked in Barcelona so for them it is merely a port day. About how much time should we need to self disembark and go through passport control…..thanks
  4. No luggage…….just four passengers.
  5. We usually tale the P11 bus to Porto Venere from near the cruise terminal. This trip we will be four…..any idea how much a taxi would cost? Looks like a twenty minute ride
  6. We will be porting in Marseille and spending the morning in Aix and the afternoon in Cassis. Any suggestions for a restaurant for lunch? Nothing that requires a reservation, good views would be great. Also a shop to purchase nougats. We will be there on a Tuesday, Mid May. Thanks
  7. Thanks The Oceana is small so we might be lucky. We have been to Palma a few times….taxi to Mercat de l’Olivar and then stroll back eventually ending near the Cathedral
  8. Looks like only one other ship in port that day the much smaller Oceania Maritima
  9. Thank you….not sure if there is a way to find out in advance
  10. My understanding is that RCCL usually docks ay Estacio Maritima. Are there different parts? Dique de Oeste? Muelle de Poniente? Are they near each other? thank you
  11. I know I can take the Blue Bus to the WTC and walk from there. For us Barcelona is a port stop. For a large number of passengers on this Oasis cruise, Barcelona is their debarkation. I’m thinking getting a taxi to go the short distance to Placa Real might be difficult. We would be getting off to meet a walking tour about 9:30 Any advice is appreciated.
  12. We arrive in Barcelona on a Sunday in May off the RCCL Oasis……for us it is a port day but for the vast majority of the ship it is debarkation day and for a new set of travelers embarkation day. We simply need to go to Placa Real to pick up a walking tour. Too far to walk from the pier and I doubt a taxi in the queue would want to take us that short distance. Any advice……should we take the Cruise Shuttle Bus to the WTC and walk from there? Are there usually long lines to board the shuttle bus? Thanks for the help
  13. Thanks....good suggestions. It is the only sea day so we thought a more quiet venue just to meet some new cruisers
  14. One in our group called RCCL and they offered a room free of charge and coffee/danish service for $2.50pp
  15. The "forum" is a group of retired educators. It is not the forbidden forum you are thinking of. I joined Cruise Critic in 2005 and for many years it was invaluable. Today, for whatever reasons, very few seem to join roll calls any more.
