  1. Although we still book with Celebrity (Elite+ and have said this many times before) ever since RCI purchased the line in 1997, little by little, year after year Celebrity has been in a downward spiral!!!.
  2. YES WE ARE!!!! Thanks for posting this reply!!!!🥰
  3. I've posted this on other Oasis related threads but will post again. We sailed the Oasis last July to join our Daughter, Son-in law, two Granddaughters and another couple. Ship was filled to maximum capacity of 6800. -Cabin stewards were overwhelmed and did the best they could under the conditions. -Reservations for shows was not an option because everything was booked solid. -Pool areas were always filled to maximum capacity. Impossible to find a seat. -Windjammer was a nightmare. Wall to wall crowds. Windows and windowsills filthy with caked on foods, and food that was mediocre at best. -Food quality was not much better in the MDR and the $560 we spent for a family dinner to eat in Chops was a joke. Our Diamond status is no longer an incentive to book RCI.
  4. I love this because I'm the daughter of a USMA graduate!!!!!
  5. Agree 100% and it's certainly doesn't apply to cruise lines. We live in a large HOA with lots of Rules pertaining to what Additions and Modifications owners can make to their properties. There are many that don't think submitting detailed requests must be reviewed and approved by the Community. I've lost count on the number of Owners who think the Regulations don't apply to them!!!
  6. As a result of all the comments previously read about how long it was taking for renewal, I sent mine expedited on March 13 for a June sailing. New passport arrived 16 days later on the 29th!!
  7. Didn't notice the plastic plates. Was too busy trying to look out, not only the filthy window I was sitting next to, which was minor compared to the dried caked on food all over the windowsill. Fortunately, a ship's Officer was walking by and I showed him. As he was shaking his head, he took a picture with his cell phone, and apologized as he walked away.
  8. We hadn't sailed with RCI for over 10 years but sailed Oasis of the Seas last summer only to spend time with our Daughter, Son-in-Law and 2 Granddaughters. Not only was the food subpar, in both the Windjammer and the MDR, the cleanliness of the Windjammer was below subpar. I know I will get slammed for this but......I wouldn't book another RCI sailing even it was FREE!!!!
  9. Thanks for the detailed info. Since we only stay at Marriott properties (Husband'sTitanium status as a result of 39 years of Corporate travel) will look at Residence Inn.
  10. Just thinking of the Oasis makes me cringe. Sailed her last summer to be with Family!! Spending time with them was Fantastic! Sailing on the ship was the worst cruise we've ever taken!! 6800 passengers that included triple and quad occupancy (double is 5400) and that was the least of the issues!!!!!
  11. I always recall my Italian Maternal Grandmother telling me this when I was about to choose June17,1967 for our wedding date. We chose June 24th instead and have been married for 56 years.
  12. My only experience has been sitting on them. I don't know if, when it's turned into a bed, additional padding is put on. Not sure how much a difference it would make unless you booked a Higher Class suite.
  13. https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-ships/celebrity-reflection/accommodations Above is the link for Cabins on the Reflection. We have travelled Concierge class on all S-class ships and the sofa is usually made up into a bed by the staff while your at dinner. You can also google the various suites to see which would be the best for the three of you.
  14. Thanks but we're not flying in. Driving up from PA. Flushing is definitely out of the way.
  15. Family Group (7) sailing out of NYC on the Norwegian Joy in mid July. We all prefer spending the night before in a Hotel in NJ that is the easiest ride from NJ to NY. Would very much appreciate any Marriott Properties recommendations. Thank you in advance.
