Good evening. Another beautiful day in Victoria. Nice views for the guests on Explora We did an early morning walk to and across the Johnson Bridge then around the Harbour edge. Us Aussies were delighted to watch the otters swimming in the water. Absolutely blessed with this weather. Had a nice lunch on the patio overlooking the harbour at Spinnakers Brewpub. Then hopped on one of the cute little harbour ferries back to The Empress Hotel. Flowers outside the hotel look pretty in the sunshine. We have Neil the (Elephant) Seal getting up to lots of mischief in a Tasmanian town. Victoria BC has Emerson the (Elephant) Seal deciding that being moved by the authorities 150km from Victoria to near Ucluelet was not appealing so he swam 30km per day for 4 days, back to his favourite beach in Victoria and we unexpectedly met him snoozing peacefully in the sun on the beach today, letting out a few snorts much to the amusement of the kids watching from above. We also visited the Bug Zoo which is around the corner from our Condo. We all found it fascinating due to the passionate staff. I’ll spare you the photos of the Tarantulas which were my favourite. Dinner was at the Sticky Wicket Pub. Post dinner we strolled down to see the Parliament Buildings lit up - which is probably the only thing cruisers see on their very short time in Victoria on many itineraries.

Good afternoon. Beautiful day to catch the ferry from Vancouver to Vancouver Island. Heading to Victoria for a few nights & looks like we will be blessed with good weather for our visit.

DH asked our guide of the Lighthouse when the last shipwreck was. Back in the 1898 was reply, a paddlesteamer carrying 32 crew and 30 passengers. One of the survivors was a baby. She lived until her 90s and her ashes are scattered at the wreck site.

Yes, was looking forward to it walking it for fresh air & exercise after being on a 14hr flight.

No. Thankfully. Got the alerts very late in the eve before my originally scheduled early morning flight.

One full day immediately before the cruise and a few hours after we disembark. The rest of the time we are doing a roadtrip of Vancouver Island.

Well, this Aussie koala will definitely be doing the full Love Actually Airport scene - flight has been pushed back a further 1 1/2hrs. But who knows what the next update will be in the morning….

If anyone is interested, The Blue Bus through M & M tours is available to book again this season but the pricing has increased and it’s a reserved seat with 2hrs at Mendhall. Booked it because we cruise soon and shore tours through cruise line and elsewhere sold out.

Well, my plans to spend the day walking Stanley Park have changed….instead of arriving Vancouver tomorrow morning, I will be (hopefully) arriving 11hrs later due to “operational issues”At least DH & I don’t have to get up before dawn tomorrow morning and there is now a strong possibility that the “kids” can meet me at the airport when I arrive. Time to put that koala onesie back into my carryon and embarrass the heck out of my kids - with my 🐨 hugs at the airport.

Palm Beach was beautiful and the water temp was amazing.

If anyone has been to Palm Beach/Pittwater, this is the newly opened Joeys which was formerly The Boathouse.

The stairs to the top were easy and the 360 degree views were stunning on this gorgeous day.

Today was a beautiful day at Palm Beach. We did a tour of the Barrenjoey Lighthouse.
