Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. To Gettingwarmer. The Princess cabin is more than likely to be a Standard Balcony cabin and not a Full Suite which is the Fred price. Similar cruise on Princess range from Balcony at £1599 and Suite at £3999 per person.
  2. To Megabear2 whilst TTL does not quote the individual cruise he his looking at it does not take long on a search on Freds website to find the cruise with the clues given. Iceland and Greenland and 15nts. In honesty I did not find one this year but next year cruise T2518 seems to match most of the info given. Also the price matches. As I said I agree that Freds prices have gone quite high but when you are showing comparisons its good to show like for like. I do not think in any way that the Princess cruise cabin would be the same standard has the Fred cabin.
  3. Whilst I agree that Freds prices seem to have gone quite high I do think that twotravellersLondon has over stated the prices. Again whilst I agree ttL posts some very good comments on the forum he does appear to have the downs on Fred at the moment. On the cruise he highlighted, his prices are based on the Olsen Suite which is the highest level. A Balcony Junior Suite is available at £5299 with either £300 obc or Free Door to Door Transfer. Fred also offers a Drinks package at £24.99 per day. Gratuities at the moment are £5 a day which I would think must be one of the lowest amounts of the cruise lines that charge.
  4. Oceana was originally built to be in the Princess Cruise Fleet. That is why the Atrium was as it was. Just look at all the other Princess ships.
  5. The champagne breakfast can be booked before sailing date. It comes under the gifts section tasty treats and is £25.
  6. On Iona the Seaspray was available in the Limelight Club and the Epicurean and was on the Deluxe drinks package.
  7. Just seen that P&O are offering a diy tour in Valencia Old Town at £26 per adult for 4hrs. Funny you used to be able to do it for free before they moved the shuttle drop off point.
  8. Re cruise G438 P&O are sending emails out regarding the change. Better to be in Cartagena than Valencia on a day they are running a marathon.
  9. Sorry. Thought you were talking about cruise R403N March 2024. Especially when you mentioned your Travel Insurance would fit in.
  10. The ship arrives at 13.00 22nd March and departs 01.00 24th March. That seems like an overnight.
  11. You are there for the full day of the 23rd.
  12. What you have to remember is that Curacao is one of the Dutch Antilles Islands and a lot of the money for the inferstuctor costs is provided by the EU.
  13. Just a note for Selbourne re cab fares. The cabs used to be able to charge an extra quite substantial fee for entering the cruise port. As this is only just past a set of gates to the drop off point it seems quite a mark up. It is better to ask for the cab to take you to the Ernest N Morial Conference Centre and walk the short distance. Obviously check out which terminal you are at first.
  14. Selbourne i think you might be surprised by the numbers. Who do you think fills the ship out of school holidays. On my last cruise on iona the queue for the top tier lunch went almost back to the middle lifts.
  15. Strange they are having all the loyalty tier lunches together. It is a different menu for the 2 upper tiers to the caribbean so not sure how they will do that
