  1. It would seem pretty obvious that flying out of MIA is easier, but that being said, both are busy airports, especially as you take the time to get from PortMiami to FLL, you would arrive in the middle of the morning rush from Port Everglades.
  2. Many businesses have "travel departments", particularly very large companies. It definitely can work for them, particularly when they are dealing with one large airline at one large airport, like Apple and United at SFO. It may not really be cost effective on a small scale.
  3. @psuboater, I haven't flown internationally from SEA, that is why I said I don't know SEA's policy. But at SFO, have flown to Mexico (on United) and a couple Canadian airports, both on AC and UA, and left from domestic terminals. AC has several gates and a Maple Leaf Lounge in Terminal 2 at SFO, and that is a domestic terminal. It seems the much longer haul flights need to use the International Terminal.
  4. I would ask on the Carnival board, as it is a Carnival policy issue. I doubt Carnival varies their boarding times and procedures that much.
  5. If mobility is not a problem, you can take the light rail to about 3 blocks from the Hampton Brickell. Seems to me it was about $5pp last time I took it. The Hampton has a shuttle to the port. I think it was $8pp.
  6. You must be kidding, because Frisco Texas is north of Dallas.
  7. The RCI board is here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/51-royal-caribbean-international/
  8. Take a look down the board...there are MANY threads on hotels. "Crazy expensive" is a totally subjective point of view...what price range are are you looking for? Is that price range relevant to the actual prices in Miami? The dress code issues are best answered on the RCI board.
  9. Just an FYI, the port doesn't generally care what you bring on, as long as its legal. Its the cruise line that determines what you bring on.
  10. Might be helpful to give a better location than "not far"...
  11. HAL may not have run that itinerary in the past. That is one of the great things about HAL...always new or varying routes.
  12. Correct. Cardioversion is a more complicated procedure, and requires specific equipment to perform. An AED would not be expected to work.
  13. Other than showing your passport to be eligible to fly into Canada, there is no Immigration or Customs procedure at SEA. Canadian Immigration and Customs will be when you land. I don't know SEA's policy, but flights to nearby countries like Canada and Mexico don't have to go out of the international terminal.
  14. Ah, ok. What do you mean? If you are looking for others on your cruise, that would be here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/233-volendam-roll-calls/
