Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Hi, the Outdoor Pool was heated - pls der picture. i‘ve enjoyed my daily swim in a not crowded pool 😄
  2. Thanks for your great review - already looking forward to the ship (will be on it next Monday starting out of Civitavecchia). Do you know if individual/self disembarkation was possible at the end of the cruise? Thank you, Dominik
  3. Hi all, thank you very much for your replies, this supports my impression that Anthem is likely the better choice and we will look into it. We are from Austria (Europe) and will enjoy the short flight after the cruise 😉 Kind regards, Dominik
  4. Hello folks, my wife and I are planning to do our first TA next April from NYC towards Europe but are struggling between NCL Prima and Anthem of the Seas. We are both 35 years and have done already some cruises (mostly with NCL incl 14 days in South America and Panama canal transit) but also two with Allure and Harmony of the Seas). I’ve read already various trip reports about Prima incl. possible noisy staterooms and small venues inside that are definitely the downside, on the other hand the ship is new, the itinerary including Iceland promising and the Free at Sea package definitely much cheaper than the Deluxe beverage package of Royal Caribbean …. Then again Anthem of the Seas offers with the Solarium a very nice indoor pool for cooler days that is definitely a big benefit compared to Prima where I expect that probably the pools can’t be used all the time during the TA. If you like good entertainment, various food choices, the possibility to swim and some sort of action which ship would you choose for the crossing (we would be sailing in a regular balcony stateroom)? Thank you very much and kind regards, Dominik
  5. Hi, I was on the Sun (Sky‘s sister ship) for 14 days in South America and for that route it was a perfect ship as it offers a lot of public decks to enjoy the scenery. During the trip there were almost every day a lot of things to see (i.e waterfalls, fjords,..) If you are doing a transatlantic with a lot of sea days the Sky/Sun would be too small for me as activities are more limited than on bigger ships. Kind regards, Dominik
  6. Hi, for Jewel and Colon there was no time slot available during Check-In. We arrived at Colon around 10:30 and were onboard about 12 (group 8). Later we saw a lot of people in line waiting to board the ship so not sure if afternoon is really a better choice at Colon.... we felt that earlier was a better/quicker (at least for the 26th of January sailing)
  7. During a tour that I joined in Panama city they told us it‘s about $135 per bed for cruise ships...
  8. Not really - we were below La Cuccina and on 2 nights we heard tables or chairs being moved for 10-15 minutes. Other than that it was absolut silent and we enjoyed 11630 as there was no direct overhang like the midship Club balcony staterooms.
  9. Hi, just returned from the Jewel and the Club Balcony (11630), it was a great quite Location but no loungers on any of that rooms. The bathroom is big (nice shower) and the place around the sofa is bigger than regular balcony stateroom
  10. Hi Turtles, yes, I am aware of the location, however there are several interesting sights for me along the Amador Causeway including restaurants etc. I have already contacted the Beach House Hotel which is in that area but they do not offer luggage service for non-guests. Kind regards, Dominik
  11. Hello, after our cruise with NCL Jewel we have around 8-10 hours before our flight home (the cruise ends in Fuerto Amador). Does anybody know if there is some kind of luggage storage near the Cruise Terminal? Thank you, Dominik
  12. Thanks for your feedback, we have changed the stateroom and took 11630 which should be a better choice concerning noise level :)
  13. Hello fellow cruisers, I am booked in a Club Balcony on NCL Jewel (11058) on Deck 11 - based on the deckplan showers should be located straight above on Deck 12 which shouldn't be noisy at all?! Has anyone stayed in this area? Another option would be at the rear location (11630) below La Cucina Restaurant - do you think this would be a better option in terms of noise? Thank you, Dominik
