Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Booked inside guarantee b2b on Magnifica back on 12/15 for 2/9 & 2/12 cruises. Received email a few days later with upgrade to balcony. We have to move across the hall on the 12th, but no biggie. It’s our first time cruising with MSC.
  2. We booked an inside guarantee last week for Feb B2B and received email upgrade to balcony this morning. We have to move, across the hall for 4 nighter, but not a problem. First time on MSC and have low expectations, but who cares…we are extremely laid back no-fuss cruisers.
  3. Thanks for your honest review. We are booked on this ship for the first time in February and it’s helpful to read what other first timers felt after cruising MSC. We are long time cruisers, and were looking for a good deal, during a particular week that had to be filled in our FL winter schedule. We opted for a back-to-back so 7 days in total. We are extra laid back cruisers, and just love to be on a ship doing not much of anything, so these little cruises appealed to us. Actually booked a guaranteed cabin (cheapest) and received an email today, that we’ve been upgraded to a balcony for both legs of the journey. We matched our RCCL Diamond + status to receive gold level on MSC. So far MSC is working for us 😉. Looking forward to this experience.
  4. We are getting on Solstice, which was a deal at $67 p/p a night, for an inside ( we almost always book this category) with an additional $200 OBC (paid for Wi-Fi) There are a lot of folks who are on the ship, as a Blue Chip ‘freebie’. We get our Captain’s Club drinks each evening at no cost, and some other little perks. For us, this is a great deal, and whatever food they serve, we will always find something tasty. It’s possible to have a great cruise on Celebrity for around 1k.
  5. Been awhile since we’ve sailed Celebrity, and don’t recall if you allowed to bring any bottled water (spring, mineral or sparkling mineral) when you embark. Thanks!
  6. We are the minority and always eat in the OV, for many reasons. I like to eat early, and not sit for two hours. I love the variety, and after 45 years of cruising, we are bored by most of the MDR food. We pack light now, and don’t wear anything dressy. The idea on eating out on the deck, at the back of the ship, appeals to us. We’ve never had any problem finding little tastes of any number of food choices. We LOVE it!!!
  7. Thanks for all the info-hope the remainder of the cruise goes well!! We get on board the 25th, after 5 years of exclusive RCCL cruising. Happy to be back on Celebrity for a change.
  8. We board on 5/8….after Wonder transatlantic, this will be a change. Then again, it’s all about the ports once we arrive overseas. Ship is just a hotel at the end of the day 🤷‍♀️
