Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I just found this thread when looking for perks for Elite cruisers in suites. We booked our November 2025 Discovery Princess cruise late last year and our Travel Summary states we have 360 dining experience. Thanks to this thread, I have now saved this for our upcoming cruise even though it is quite a while away. I remember the Princess cruise representative stating we were entitled to one 360 dining experience and I am sick and tired of cruise lines pulling perks that you have paid for. Again, thank you for enlightening me!
  2. Thank you very much for that. We may try an uber then. Can you book before you arrive? Also, which ship were you on for your NZ cruise? We cruised to NZ in November/December on the Majestic and really loved it except the weather was very cool and wet!
  3. Thanks for that as we are travelling from Australia in May and were planning on doing the same thing. I guess a taxi or Uber it is!
  4. Thank you!!!! I think we will leave our cabin then. We have D121 and we don't mind the walk as we used to travel with Celebrity and always had wakeview cabins. The walk from those was quite long but we never minded as we used to walk off our meals!
  5. We love the aft too but this cabin looked really interesting when we booked. YouTube videos look interesting as well. But obviously never experienced it so don’t know what to expect.
  6. We have booked a Premium Suite (forward) on the Majestic Princess for a South Pacific cruise in February 2024. As per normal, we have received the option to bid for an upgrade to a Penthouse Suite. We would go for the Aft Penthouse Suite if we did choose to do so but was wondering what the feedback is in regards to the Premium Suite? Should we stay there and experience this rather quirky cabin? We normally travel very Aft on cruises but thought we would give the Premium suite a go because of its quirkiness.
  7. Thank you...I think it may suit us. I guess my husband will be the deciding factor!
  8. Thanks for that....we usually travel very aft so we get to see the wake and normally does not affect either of us. In fact, I have had more motion sickness with cabins in the middle! We always have our curtains closed at night so that will not worry us either. I am feeling more positive about this cabin now. We usually only go on the balcony leaving or coming into port, so this sounds like it might suit us. Did you have any issues with wind noise? Someone mentioned he had to wear earplugs at night! Thank you again for your feedback.
  9. We have the option of one of these cabins in August next year leaving from Ft Lauderdale to the ABCs and then New York. I have seen on the Princess site that the balcony may not be accessed at certain times being at the front of the ship and very windy. We believe it should be okay for port days but was wondering if it would be accessible arriving and departing ports. Can anyone shed any light on this? I have seen a couple of video reviews but no mention of this at all.
  10. We hopefully are visiting the west coast in April next year from Australia. Our plane arrives at 10.50am and we wanted to know what options there are as far as transport to and from LAX to San Pedro. We would have been travelling for approximately 24 hours as we are flying via Tokyo (redeemed on points). Accommodation we are looking at is the Crowne Plaza and also the Doubletree in San Pedro with preference to Crowne Plaza in regards to price. Only staying one night. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
