  1. The card has your package identified in it, so the bartenders know when you order your drinks. I can't answer for the Eden menu other than to think it was indicating that likely the brands used were premium package based and that there would be an upcharge for the classic package. Or it may have just been the a la carte pricing for those without a package. But if you look at the pdf I attached it clearly identifies the brands of each liquor type used in each package and at the top, the indicated target drink prices included with each.
  2. That is not correct. Refer to my first response and the attached pdf describing the classic v premium packages and you will see that the packages are not cocktail based, but are alcohol brand based in terms of what brands of each type of alcohol is included with each. The classic is more well brand oriented and the premium is more top shelf oriented. The bartenders will make any cocktail you want from each package and the only restrictions are the brands of alcohol included. If you ask for a cocktail that may require a specific brand and it is not included in the classic package, they simply charge an upcharge for the out of package brand. And the only difference between the US and UK packages that I am aware of is the target drink price threshold with each package, with the UK being slightly higher
  3. Here is the most recent listing of what alcohol brands are included with each package. If a brand you want is in the premium package and you have the classic, you would just pay an upcharge to use that brand in a drink. There is no limit to the variety or types of drinks you can order - just limitations with the classic package as to what brands are included to mix them. The file is in pdf format so you may have to download it. Celebrity drink packages.pdf
  4. That might explain it as it was a rather special circumstance. But Aqua theater has always had reserved seating in our experience (including Symphony March 2019). Thanks for that update.
  5. If Beyond is doing a partial transit, just be aware that she is too wide (130') and too long (1071') of a ship to fit in the old locks (106' W x 965' L) and therefore would do a partial transit utilizing the new locks. JMO but the greater interest and historic charm of a partial transit is to do so through the old locks.
  6. Very unusual as in our experiences - most recently Oasis NYE - the Ice show reserved seas were front and center first two rows facing the stage area. Basically IMO best in the theater. Comedy club does not have reserved seating but the Aqua show did - back center stage first 4 or 5 rows as you enter, typical with our experiences there as well.
  7. I realize Wonder is somewhat unique in the Oasis class ships in that it doesn't have a Broadway based show. But did you not find the Ice show and Aqua theater show different and entertaining from anything offered on Reflection? In general, across at least the Oasis, Quantum, and Icon class ship fleet, IMO RCCL has some of the best entertainment at sea.
  8. There is another consideration and that is that the stateroom you book originally for the three passengers is also one that is configured for a fourth. If not the fourth person cannot be added. That just needs to be confirmed with the booking. I agree to book the fourth person now and remove her later if she cannot go. My understanding is this can be done up to 72 hours prior to sailing.
  9. Thanks for this update. I didn't think dressing for dinner was required or had designated formal nights (in particular Azamara) but thought it may be more upscale than others with them.
  10. I heard that as well - thanks. Such a tragedy, but I also heard two of those survived, but six are still missing.
  11. Nothing more than my opinion. Not a judgement of world standards. And certainly not something to enter a debate about as it was only a personal comment regarding adult only cruises, of which the two I mentioned use 18 as their guideline.
  12. Most of the premium lines (Viking, Oceana, Regent, Azamara) will have dressier suggested wear. But they also will almost all be at a premium fare that may be higher than Cunard. Your price suggestion is totally subjective as fares will always be based on itinerary, ship, time of year, and length of cruise and will vary by those parameters. In other words that is not a viable way to gauge a cruise line as it is too fluid of a variable.
  13. And I believe Vision is on a southern Caribbean cruise from Baltimore at present. Clearly that ship will be diverted to another port for its return as the waterway into the harbor is likely going to be closed for quite some time. Perhaps Cape Liberty? I would have to believe immediate future sailings will be affected as well as all marine traffic will be interrupted to and from the port and inner harbor having to pass through the bridge area for access. But of singular importance is the concern for anyone on the bridge at the time and any others affected by this tragedy.
  14. The reserved seating for top tier C & A and others is fleet wide in our experience, and typically opens about 20 minutes prior to the show for those guests and is monitored by a crew member who checks your SeaPass card. The sections are often identified and cordoned off by a felt rope. Usually about 10 minutes prior to the show it opens for any guests for remaining seats. It has applied in our experience to the Ice Show, Main Theater, and Aqua Theater. On our Oasis NYE cruise the seating was center back last four rows or so in the Aqua Theater, end of rink front center two or three rows for the Ice Show, and main theater upstairs center back 4 or 5 rows. The locations have been similar on all of our applicable cruises, with the exception of the Ice Show which occasionally has been left side back corner. IMO these locations would generally have been our preferred seats as well if not reserved. Other's experience may vary.
  15. Understand your comments, but adult themed shows can appear on cruise lines that are not adult only. IMO adults only would simply mean no children and probably at least 18 or older as the minimum age. (In my mind it should be 21+). Such as is the case with Virgin Voyages and Viking Cruises, as two examples.
