  1. I have never in the past won a Royal UP bid...until the one that mattered the most. Not being able to have a choice (all sold out) as to anything over a balcony cabin on our first quarter World Cruise (all picked over by full WC cruisers) I put in a bid for a GS. We won our bid. Heavenly spending that 63 nights in a GS (our usual cabin of choice). 😉
  2. Thanks! We are in 7004 when we transfer to Orion. I am getting warm fuzzies about being on deck 7. Thanks again. 🥰 And then in 7006 when we are on Orion out of Hong Kong in 2026.
  3. Not sure about the layout of other deck cabins, but I am not worried about our exposure on deck 7. The entry into the cabin is basically a narrow hallway with most of the cabin further down and around a sort of corner so to speak. Limited view for sure. On any ship, we have opened the cabin door to other pax and crew members walking by of which could see in if they wanted to. It is the noise of the elevator and the foot traffic I was worried about, but am very relieved to hear (thank you @Squawkman) it is not a problem. 🙂 I will just try not to open the door naked. Oh yeah, that will scare them away! 😱 😄
  4. Thanks again! That is even better to know. I thought there would be a lot of foot traffic going through the port side along the deck 7 cabins to get to the lounge. Nice to know it's the other side that has the traffic. 🙂
  5. Yummmss! Thanks! We are on B2B Milwaukee to Nuuk Greenland next year. Really looking forward to it! 🥰
  6. I was wondering about that also. We are in 7016 directly in front of deck 7 elevators on Venus doing the circumnavigation of Australia. Wanted port side due to the land on the port side during the cruise. Any noise or "elevator dinging" that could be heard inside the cabin at that location? Thanks in advance. 🙂
  7. We did it on Harmony...and considered it a failure. All the dishes were either undercooked or overcooked and tasteless. Service not good either. They held it in 150, which should have had their act together, but didn't. Not sure if we will ever try it again.
  8. Totally agree. The last few times we have been on Wonder, the uncontrolled children were pretty bad. Constantly running down the hallways at all hours of the day and night. Screaming and throwing hissy fits during dinner with parents that just ignored them. Not just Virgin, but Viking is also a good choice. I have 5 longer cruises booked with Viking right now. This after 20 years of being "loyal to royal"...has me switching gears. 😉
  9. I use the votive (fake flame) candles. They are solar powered. Put them out on the balcony during the day, inside the bathroom at night. No batteries, or charging required. 😉
  10. You are most welcome. The towels also come in handy for an overhead if we suddenly get a cloud burst...or get dripped on by the "flying lady". 😉
  11. Yet another one of those form letters again today. Sheezz...they are spending a lot of postage just to send us a massive amount of the same letter that does us no good. 🤬
  12. I keep getting multiple duplicate letters with the bankruptcy information...but nothing that helps any of us out with actual refunds yet. Anyone have any luck yet? They owe me over 15K for paid in full B2B river cruise. Ouch.
  13. Talkeetna is a cute little town, but well inland. We love spending time there...post or pre cruise.
  14. Thank you Rewind for taking us on the Vision tour. I still dearly miss that little ship. Will be on sister Enchantment (Enstretchment 😉 ) later this year. Gotta love the little Vision class ladies (what is left of them) while we still have them. 🥰
