Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thank you. If they don’t have the tequila I want, how much would a taxi cost?
  2. Does anyone know if you can purchase Pancho’s Backyard tequila at the new one by the pier? Or do I need to go into town by Cinco del Sol?
  3. You can get fresh dungeness, but not king crab.
  4. George Inlet Lodge in Ketchikan has an all you can eat dungeness (I enjoyed it tremendously when I ate there years ago). Your cruise ship should have 1 or 2 options. Also, if you are going to Sitka, there is a crab place at the new pier - Halibut Point Crab and Seafood. I plan on a yummy crab dinner there. Be prepared, a crab dinner isn’t cheap no matter where you eat it…Alaska, Texas, Wisconsin or at home

    Packing

I’m a little late in joining this post. I feel so sorry for the lost luggage. And not to be callous, but of all the cruises, Alaska is probably the best location for you to not have your luggage. Alaska is so relaxed and comfortable no one will notice if you wear the same clothes over and over. I hope you and your family had a blast in Alaska. however, what I was going to add for the packing list was…don’t worry too much about the 5 t-shirts and 2 sweatshirts for everyone. You are on vacation and some of the more reasonable “souvenirs” are t-shirts and sweatshirts. Just add an “overflow bag” that folds up really small in your suitcase and use it for all the surplus “souvenirs “ you’ll bring back 😉😉
  6. I guess it depends on which genre you enjoy. I thought Ann Rice’s The Witching hour was very good. I’m currently reading Stephen King’s 11/22/63 and really enjoying it.
