  1. IMO not worth it. So overpriced. Better to just enjoy the island- If you are adults only, the adult beach was excellent and that IMO was well worth the price- typically between 59-79 dollars- pp, depending on the ship and sale- I would purchase asap then change if the rate comes down- I believe kids over 16 can also come- but check the ages if you have teens. If not- the entire Island has great food options, tons of seating included in your fare. Enjoy.
  2. We sailed on the icon in a suite. However in answer to your question about reservations, as soon as you board speak to the restaurant concierge at the costal kitchen and she will make your reservations. Of course the time and date will be based on availability. Enjoy your cruise.
  3. We loved the apex. We sailed in a sky suite and the suite perks, deck, retreat lounge and costal kitchen were perfect. Cannot wait to sail on her sister ships! Glad you had a great cruise.
  4. We each take a large piece of luggage, One suit and dress garment bag to share, each a carry on- I also take a back pack as a handbag. We like choice and want to be prepared for all types of weather. We use laundry service, but only for under garments, including socks, cheap tee shirts and other items- we wash our swim suits by hand. Enjoy choice. We once went in an escape room and we were with a man who smelled horribly. Please make sure you clean your clothes. They do pick up body odor even if they appear clean.
  5. We also had to walk out of shows as no seats were available- sat on steps sometimes. We had to come in at least 1/2 hour before shows. Hope the new theatres have much more seating- And couldn't use the Casino's as they were so smokey.
  6. We were in a princess suite and had to pay a daily or weekly rate for the sanctuary. Should be a suite deck. I remember no adult pool. Maybe newer ships now have along with a suite lounge included in the suite fare and a suite restaurant.
  7. We bid sometimes and have gotten some great deals- mostly on celebrity. On royal, bid from a balcony to a Jr. suite on the Adventure- but the suite was very tired . Hope the ship gets an upgrade as the ship needs it badly. Supply and demand! If you are sailing a holiday week- or on a new ship- not great odds- but good luck to you..
  8. I would have no problem with the menu above. My DH would order a filet- even with an up charge- He is a hot dog, steak and carbohydrates eater. Explains the belly! lol
  9. why? Food good- Don't you enjoy table service. I find at buffets we overeat- and do not like the idea of many people, who might not practice proper hygiene pick up utensil, start eating with their fingers, then pick up another utensil to put more food it their plate- makes me nauseous. Yuk
  10. Have dined at the Chef's table and it was horrible- had to dine after- a true waste of money. Empire supper club looks interesting- however the menu is primarily seafood- so if you do not like seafood- don't go. And the price! Considering you have paid for dinner in the MDR price crazy.
  11. On the Icon in March in an surfside family suite- what a disappointment. However we had the all inclusive unlimited dining plan and only ate breakfast and lunch in coastal kitchen- found it too dark and glad we didn't have dinner in their. We will stick to Oasis ships- crown loft suites. Icon class not for everyone-
  12. We are elite plus on celebrity and diamond plus on Royal. We have sailed three times on Princess, and the ships, service and food do not compare to Celebrity or Royal. We consider Princess on par with Carnival and NCL- not for us.
