I am a fan of the medallion especially once onboard. What is frustrating is the inconsistency of the app. This is our 4th medallion cruise, first three pre cruise were a breeze for me not so much my husband. This time he breezed through the pre cruise process but the system wouldn’t take my passport. Called support 4 times, one week apart each time. Each time they tried, wouldn’t work and said that they would bump it up to a higher level technical support and it would be fixed in 3 - 5 days. They refused to give me a ticket number so I would have to start over each time I called. The last time the person I talked to said a ticket had never been generated and just bring the passport to the port. Next time I won’t waste my time calling.

I won a bid to a Reserve Class that was right across from the elevators. I got in touch with my PVP and he got us moved. Even though it showed sold out there was another room for us. We would have been happy staying our original mini and paying for the upgrade but don’t know if this would be possible.

We are about 38 days out from our cruise and received a second email about upgrade bidding. We thought why not and made a bid on Monday and it was accepted yesterday. We didn’t like the location and a note to our Personal Planner yesterday to see if there was a better location and this morning we received an email from Princess with an acceptable room location. I actually was pretty impressed.

We were lucky enough to get upgraded on our first post Covid cruise. We were having breakfast in the Crown Grill and my husband asked for sourdough toast. The waitress excused herself and the manager came to our table and apologized that they did have sourdough as an option but to come back the next day and he would be sure to have it. Sure enough, the next day they had it. We were totally impressed with that level of service.

Yes, they are hot but the canopy can be adjusted so you can get a breeze coming through the bottom. We did it once and that was enough.
