  1. Noticed one large family group recently. They had two tables for 10. All the kids were at one table, with the adults apparently further down at another. We walked through deck 5 to get down to deck 4 as a short cut each night. Naturally no one to supervise the table of kids. The noise that the kids were making that could be heard on the deck below by all of us all week. Parents left them to the care of the poor servers. 😬 Not a good plan. Parents ....please sit with your kids to teach them some manners they will need in their adult life.
  2. When Carnival Freedom was here in PC...was confusing listed on the lighted direction signs...since RCI Freedom was still around. You would think they could come up with a tad more imagination when naming these mega $$ ships. 😉
  3. Hey, I already have a crystal block from that ship....well...it has Legend on it anyway. 😉 I miss the old Legend.
  4. Nice pictures! Looking forward to my first Nordic balcony on Octantis. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
  5. Or tiny little burgers. 😉 OK...back to my corner. 😄 I am in the prefer a sliding balcony door camp. Though will be interesting on the EX ships with the vertical sliding casement type window (not door). Nordic balcony.
  6. I got my denial the last time after I went to bed on first night. 😒
  7. Thanks for the excellent review my friend...and welcome home! 🥰
  8. I have never in the past won a Royal UP bid...until the one that mattered the most. Not being able to have a choice (all sold out) as to anything over a balcony cabin on our first quarter World Cruise (all picked over by full WC cruisers) I put in a bid for a GS. We won our bid. Heavenly spending that 63 nights in a GS (our usual cabin of choice). 😉
  9. Thanks! We are in 7004 when we transfer to Orion. I am getting warm fuzzies about being on deck 7. Thanks again. 🥰 And then in 7006 when we are on Orion out of Hong Kong in 2026.
  10. Not sure about the layout of other deck cabins, but I am not worried about our exposure on deck 7. The entry into the cabin is basically a narrow hallway with most of the cabin further down and around a sort of corner so to speak. Limited view for sure. On any ship, we have opened the cabin door to other pax and crew members walking by of which could see in if they wanted to. It is the noise of the elevator and the foot traffic I was worried about, but am very relieved to hear (thank you @Squawkman) it is not a problem. 🙂 I will just try not to open the door naked. Oh yeah, that will scare them away! 😱 😄
  11. Thanks again! That is even better to know. I thought there would be a lot of foot traffic going through the port side along the deck 7 cabins to get to the lounge. Nice to know it's the other side that has the traffic. 🙂
  12. Yummmss! Thanks! We are on B2B Milwaukee to Nuuk Greenland next year. Really looking forward to it! 🥰
  13. I was wondering about that also. We are in 7016 directly in front of deck 7 elevators on Venus doing the circumnavigation of Australia. Wanted port side due to the land on the port side during the cruise. Any noise or "elevator dinging" that could be heard inside the cabin at that location? Thanks in advance. 🙂
  14. We did it on Harmony...and considered it a failure. All the dishes were either undercooked or overcooked and tasteless. Service not good either. They held it in 150, which should have had their act together, but didn't. Not sure if we will ever try it again.
