  1. Tonight we were in Prime 7 Our table companions indulged in the infamous popcorn sundae 😋
  2. Update @ 3:35 pm They have both departed for a late lunch at the Pool Grill ………….. but of course they have left some belongings to ensure no one can make use of the loungers for what is left of the afternoon 🤨 Not difficult when you are occupying the loungers immediately behind these two miscreants. It should not need a policy, rules or enforcement for cruisers to think about the effect of their thoughtless actions on other’s enjoyment. Overall it has not been a big issue this cruise, with most being respectful of other guests. It is just both amusing and annoying to see this old couple going through the same selfish ritual each day, seemingly without thought or shame. Sad & pathetic really.
  3. Update @ 3pm Both are now occupying “their” loungers ………… hallelujah No stereotyping but they are reading a German language newspaper 😉
  4. We haven’t reported much about food this cruise, but suffice to say we have still managed to pile on a few pounds in a very enjoyable way 😋 Last night there were some exemplary dishes Duck Pork belly Pumpkin pie All washed down with excellent wine. A memorable dinner sharing with new friends made this cruise. So much good conversation that we sadly missed the show.
  5. Skittles ……… and Giant Jenga …….. it was all going so well 😧
  6. On sea days, when we are not lazing on deck, eating or drinking, Susan tends towards the craft lessons & needlepoint while David favours the games Bracelets Needlepoint Baggo Tic Tac Toe
  7. Update @ 2:30 pm Most excursions have returned. All shaded loungers now occupied except the pair pictured in post #85 above. One of the couple has just visited, muttered loudly about someone having moved the book (to allow for pairs of loungers to be utilised), dropped off his sunglasses & left again 🙄 ………………. more later (I wonder if they read CC 😮)
  8. Another port day today and only one couple chose to stake a claim to “their” loungers in the shade before going off on tour. Guess who ……. Same loungers, same articles. I wonder if they will actually occupy the reserved spots when they return today ?
  9. This is the notice that is in Passages every day here on Navigator …………… simply a request
  10. There are two rows of loungers shaded by the canopy forward of the pool & near the pool bar. A very popular location on Navigator’s Pool Deck.
  11. Krew Kapers & crew farewell was excellent last night with a full theatre for the pre-dinner event. Most guests had chosen to dress towards the more formal end of formal-optional for the evening. After a chatty dinner we just made it to Karl Loxley’s performance. He is a very good singer and will be performing again before the end of the cruise. Tonight one of the female singers, Samantha Cashmore, from the Production Cast is headlining her own show supported by the band. A good thing about the direction of travel for this cruise is that we gain time. On top of previous time changes we gained 30 minutes last night and clocks will be turned back another hour tonight 🙂
  12. During our present cruise a couple have taken entitled shady lounger hogging to a new bizarre level On two consecutive port days they “reserved” two loungers for the whole morning; presumably while they were on an excursion. On their return around lunchtime they returned to their spot, decided it was too hot, even in the shade, picked up their belongings & left 🤨🙄 On a positive note the laundry didn’t need to process two towels and lounger covers 😉
  13. Another glorious day at sea Smooth sailing, warm weather and a lazy day on a Regent ship. What could be better? 😎
  14. One of the things you will notice is the outdated suite bathrooms on Navigator compared to Splendor. Perfectly functional and well maintained but showing their age & only a single washbasin. The smaller ship may be an advantage; with probably less people on each of the popular excursions, plus you may find that you receive a more personal service from the Destinations team
  15. Today CD Ray’s “quirky moment” on his morning show recalled a cruise about 15 years ago when he and guest speaker Sir Terry Waite did a ventriloquist act, with Ray as the dummy. IMG_8516.MOV
