Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I literally just laughed out loud. Ore Ida fries…good one.
  2. So, anyone know when the change to the fries served at Guy’s Burger happened? I loved the old fries. The photo is not mine.
  3. Dang it! I just realized I spelled Mardi Gras wrong in the title. Ugh! Nice discussion folks. To be clear, I wasn’t complaining as I was never up at 4:00AM. I didn’t even realize the Pizzeria wasn’t 24-hours until I hear some other passengers talking about it. Honestly, I think the pizza is disgusting and certainly not worth the really long waits for it. I’ll save the discussion about the food for another thread. I will say this, this was the first cruise I have ever taken where I didn’t gain 10-20 pounds in a week. In fact, I lost 6 pounds on this cruise. Yay for me! Thanks for all the replies. It was very interesting reading everyone’s viewpoint.
  4. I figured that was why. Those guys were making pizzas at a feverish pace. The guy kneading the dough often stopped to shake his hands (I assumed from some sort of pain). I am glad those guys get a break. I do think Carnival should stop advertising 24/7 pizza though.
  5. I was recently on the Mardi Gras (July 16th sailing), and I noticed the Pizzeria was only open from 10:00AM - 4:00AM. To this day, Carnival still advertises the Pizzeria is open 24/7. However, this was not the case. I was wondering if anyone knew why the hours for the Pizzeria were altered. Thanks in advance.
  6. OMG, Tom! I didn’t even consider any of those issues that you just wrote about. Geesh! Thank you so much for your very insightful post. You have helped me tremendously.
  7. I am about to order a 6-pack of tests from eMed. There are six of us traveling. I am assuming I can use one of those tests for each person in my travel party (we will need our own individual eMed accounts). However, I was watching a ParoDeeJay video and he mentioned that only three people can be registered under one box of six tests. Is that accurate? I sure hope I do not need to buy two 6-packs. That is a lot of money for a flipping COVID test.
  8. We are on the July 16, 2022 sailing of the Mardi Gras. I know we have to take a COVID test 3 days before our sailing. From what I have read, many of you use the eMed at-home test. I also know Walgreen's can do the rapid tests that are acceptable for cruising, but I live in a small town, and I really do not want to put my trust in Walgreen's. My question is, is it too early for me to order the eMed at-home tests? I read that some of you have gotten tests that expired one month later. Our sailing is still 102 days, 13 hours, 26 minutes away. Thoughts? -Cruzin' Dad
  9. I had the same issue. I found that it takes some time for your booking to sync with everything else before you are able to actually book specialty restaurants.
