  1. You can learn so much from Google. https://www.casino.org/blog/gambling-on-cruise-ships/ In the United States, you need to be 12 miles off the coast, whereas in the UK, you need to have embarked on a journey into international waters.
  2. I had a perfectly timed flight from Quebec. Air Canada canceled all morning flights. I was assigned a late afternoon flight with a 60 minute connection. If I didn’t pre-purchase a near the front seat and request a wheel chair, I would have definitely missed my flight. Things in my favor: Quebec flight was late, but we made up the time in flight a pusher who ran me through the terminal yelling “coming through”. global entry prefilled out customs form cut in line at US TSA line outbound flight was delayed literally, last one through the door At least they knew I was coming Give yourself plenty of time in Montreal.
  3. It is very sad that Princess does not offer a Reserved Collection Accessible Mini Suite. Sometimes an accessible suite is out of range for some.
  4. If at all possible, you can bet the Captain will take the ship into international waters so the casino $$$$$$$$$ can operate.
  5. I checked in to an independent tour in Halifax and asked the same question about Peggy's Cove. We had a shorter stay on my second visit/cruise to Halifax. The independent tour operator/driver said that Peggy's Cove was about an hour outside of town. He didn't feel comfortable including it in our tour but instead offered a closer "similar" village. At the end, I did not do either. If you have any concerns, I would stick with Princess. If you choose to use an independent operator, but sure they are very reliable.
  6. Once cleared, the gangway will be open all night long. I saw a few passengers disembarking with their luggage (your responsibility). You are correct. Flying out of Quebec is a nightmare (expensive and very few flights). I am not sure you will be able to get to Montreal by train in time to catch a flight EAST. IF...they dock in the morning, it will take a train 2.5 hours to get from Quebec to Montreal. You would still have to clear customs and immigrations in Montreal. It will be another hour or so (terminal is large/Nexus or Global Entry?). The train will have several fare options. If you sign up ahead of time, there are usually Tuesday specials and a senior option. https://www.viarail.ca/en
  7. Don't forget that Costco Hawaii has items not found at other Costcos. Worth a visit in Honolulu, Lihue, or Kahului. "Free Shipping" back to the continent.
  8. Passengers may dine in Reserve Collection for breakfast and dinner. If the MDRs are open for lunch, then they may also lunch in Reserve Collection. Suite passengers may choose either RC or Suite Breakfast locations.
  9. Makai = Ocean side (toward the ocean). There is a Whole Foods and CVS/Longs at the Maui Mall. You can catch a city bus to a Foodland not far away (about a mile if you want to walk it). My story about the people of the Maui: I walked across the street to the Maui Mall for my Guri Guri fix. Could not find big bags of Maui Potato Chips so called the factory to find out where I could purchase them (not at Longs or Whole Foods). Nice person/owner? on the other end of the call asked me how many bags I wanted. If I waited at the mall....she would deliver them in a few minutes. I tried to give her more for her troubles...she declined and gave me back exact change.
  10. You would probably get a better response if you specified which itinerary or ports.
  11. Will you be taking any tours? Walk across the street to the Maui Mall and enjoy a refreshing Guri Guri "ice cream". Buy local: Maui Manju, Maui Potato Chips, visit the local beaches near by. Rent a car and drive the UpCountry. Mahalo nui loa for supporting Maui.
  12. Not sure what you mean by "within the cancellation window"? Does that mean you made final payment before 90 days or are cancelling with penalties? If you cancelled for any reason, you may get back the credit as Future Cruise Credits minus insurance. If you cancelled for a covered reason, your insurance should refund you. If you cancelled before Final Payment due date, you should get refunded to the gift cards.
  13. I had booked (and cancelled) a Princess Transfer via Stonehenge. For a few dollars more, we hired a car service since we, too, were overnighting at the Hilton and was in no rush to get through the day. We needed an early morning flight due to connections. As plans evolved, we are doing a drive by Stonehenge, stopping in Salisbury, and continuing our way to LHR Hilton. This gives us a late ship departure and a more relaxing day. How was the Hilton and walk to your terminal?
  14. I was in Saint John on a Sunday. Even the shopping mall was closed.
  15. I have also seen the opposite. Where passengers with reservations for MDR showed up at the Reserve Collection Dining Area. The host/hostess or Assistant Manager would discretely walk them over to the "other" dining room.
