  1. From someone who sailed on the Prima this past August London (Southampton) to Reykjavik, I hope you have weather at least some days to utilize the features on deck 8.
  2. It's simple--they want to retain customers and they want customers to recommend their services to other potential customers.
  3. DW and I were very happy to be seated apart the one time we were apart on an airplane. Our cruise was 2 days late getting to Fort Lauderdale due to a hurricane. Obviously our original plane trip back to JFK was not happening. We got the last 2 standby seats on the first flight back after we checked in at the airport. We survived.
  4. Right, it is our job as the potential passenger to every now and then check for price drops. Once found, our TA has no problem getting them for us. Sometimes that comes with a warning such as you no longer have the same small deposit and if you want the price drop you must add to your deposit.
  5. Let us hope it was just meant "tongue in cheek". If it was an emoji might have conveyed that. Just holding up the line to be a smartass is just not right.
  6. Hello all. So I went to the Stamford CT state passport agency. 2 days and I have passports in hand!!!! so relieved. Who says the Government can move fast?! In any case just for giggles Iā€™m going to ask at the dock if I can board with just my license. See how that goes as a little test. I so hope that @puckliny who posted that they were going to do this notes the THANK YOU reaction that @Ferry_Watcher, who actually does work at check in for cruises gave to my post asking why you would do this as it only holds up the line.
  7. Right that is what we had to do on our river cruise in the Netherlands and Belgium. It surprised us as here in the US, we had long since done our spring forward. (Just getting to this thread and did not notice the date posted at first, and was about to write it was 2 weeks earlier where we were in the EU.) šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø
  8. Why are you going to do that? To hold up the line? Please don't waste their time.
  9. Laughing again, I just looked at the reactions to my posts and see I posted basically the same thing back in July of 2022.
  10. HA! HA! In 1997, we did a land vacation at an AI in Jamaica for our 20th anniversary. There was a small tax to depart. The lady at the airport in front of us said she had spent all her money and could not pay the tax. She also said please make me stay. They did not.
  11. We had never missed a port (unless you count getting to Fort Lauderdale 2 days late because of a hurricane or an entire cruise cancelled due to Covid). Then we went on the NCL Prima last summer, London (Southampton) to Reykjavik, and missed 2 ports. The ports were Zebrugges for Brugge for according to them an extremely low tide and Isafjordur, Iceland that they missed on every single one of their cruises because the dock was not finished and they said the ship's lifeboats were not certified to be used as tenders.
  12. WOW! You showed incredible patience reading through 23 pages! And it looks like today is the 3 year anniversary of the start of this thread.
  13. The author again is Phillip Norman. Let me give you all of the titles. John Lennon: The Life Paul McCartney: The Biography George Harrison: The Reluctant Beatle (the one I am reading now) There are also biographies by him of Eric Clapton. Elton John, and Mick Jagger. Also, there are books about the Beatles.
