Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I’m really enjoying your postings. Husband and I will be on our first Celebrity cruise leaving Sydney on the Edge next Sunday. I do hope you have a great time in our beautiful home town Adelaide and that you get to try many South Australia wines.
  2. Hi, leaving on the 14th April on celebrity Edge repositioning cruise to Honolulu. We managed to book two snorkeling tours through the ship at Moorea and Papeete. Unfortunately sold out in Raiatea so will probably try and book a local tour. My question is to those with experience is normally are snorkels, fins and masks provided by the operators the ship use. I have read what to bring and those items are not listed. Don’t really want to cart our gear from Australia as we are doing a road trip in the USA after this cruise. Thanks for any advice.
  3. Thank you all so much for info. We will check out at 11 and head to terminal. If we can check in shortly after that then bonus. If not know we can drop off bags and go fir a wander.
  4. Hi, first time cruising with Celebrity and hoping for some advice. We are flying from Adelaide on 13th April for cruise on Edge departing Sydney 14th April. We need to check out of hotel at 10am and our check in window begins at 14.30. Is there an area at the Sydney cruise terminal where we can check in our suitcases? Not sure if it makes a difference but we are in a Sky Suite with access to the Retreat. Very much looking forward to this cruise to Hawaii.
  5. We will be on the Moon from 28th March until 29th April. If those dates include your cruise let me know as on my MySiversea it shows the formal nights. Hope this helps.
  6. I booked Blacklane yesterday (australia) and used the van option as we will have two large suitcases and two carry on cases. There was no extra charge and I found the entire process very easy.
  7. Thank you for offer, we do have some US$ to bring and thinking of getting some Euros also. Quite partial to the idea of almond M&M’s though.
  8. I have my fathers army supplied belt that still contains two pennies that he used during the war for playing two up. Maybe I will bring those pennies.
  9. Sorry no hope of calming down, ramping up from now on! Looking forward to our meeting at the hotel.
  10. I’m hoping experienced guests can give me a few answers to some questions I have before our first SS cruise. 1 When we booked this cruise it was shown as 31 night cruise Lisbon to Athens. When we received our paper work it is shown as three cruises back to back. Question is what will be our status as Venetian society member. After the first leg will it count as first voyage? 2 We intend to donate to Crew Fund. Is there any guide line on amount acceptable for 31 night cruise? 3 Is the ship decorated for Easter? 4 We are on board 25th April ANZAC day. Is there a service for any guest who may like to attend? We are very excited and counting down the days. I’m keen to start packing. Thank you in advance for any answers you can provide me with and please be kind. have a great Sunday. As a side note here in South Australia we are about to start a week of temperatures around the 40C mark. kind regards Lorrie
  11. I had trouble finding the site also. Ending up googling Silversea bon voyage packages and found it. Think I will try and take flowers on board with me as will have a wider range to chose from.
  12. Thank you for replies. We will try and find a flower market in Lisbon and take a bunch onboard with us.
  13. Our first Silversea cruise is coming up in March. I love having fresh flowers in our room, so the question is (I have tried to find answer through this board) can you order flowers once on board or can you bring some with you. I know there is a potted orchid in the suite. I’m so looking forward to seeing the beautiful displays of flowers around the ship (Silver Moon). Many thanks for any input.
