Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I was mistaken on my earlier post. We do have NCL airfare both ways, but it was recommended that we book our own hotel for our pre cruise 1 night, which we have at a hotel that we used the last time we cruised out of Rome. I called our cruise consultant and advised the air deviation desk of my mobility problems, and asked that the 2 booking numbers be linkred so we could fly together, we will know in a week or two if that was possible.
  2. Sorry this will be later mg and rambling. We live in Orange County, California. We’re on the Epic on June 17, out of Rome. Traveling with our teenage grandkids, I’m in a wheelchair from a stroke in 2018, so I will have to be pre boarded. We’re using NCL’s ticketing for the trip home only since we want to get to Rome 1 day before our boarding date, and our travel consultant suggested we book our inbound flight and hotel ourselves. Then use their hotel before the trip home and fligh home since we’re staying 3 days past disembarkation, to sightsee. This is our grandkids first trip out of the country. How soon will we get our flights? There was no way to link our bookings to make sure we were on the same flight. I can’t travel without my husband. Myself and my granddaughter are on one booking number and my husband and grandson are on another. I foresee problems with this.
  3. We are thinking about taking our 18 yr old and 16 yr old gks on a med cruise next summer. How old do they have to be to share a cabin? We don’t want a quad cabin, and I have to have a wheelchair accessible cabin. Can they be next to us, or across the hall from us?
  4. Just another question, if we want to take our grandkids (18 and 16 at time of sailing), can we put them in a cabin by themselves? I realize we may have to put one each,on paper, into a cabin with one of us and then switch when we get onboard, but would rather not. BTY I need to have a wheelchair accessible cabin, and don’t know how close we can get them to us. What do we need from their parents?
  5. I was wondering how available the wheelchair accessible cabins were on NCL cruises. We have cruised Princess in a wheelchair accessible cabin, but if they can get passports in time we were thinking about taking our 2 teenage grandchildren on a Med Cruise this summer. Also, they will be 16 and 18 when we sail. We were thinking of getting us a balcony cabin and them the opposite inside cabin. Is this possible?
  6. We were also on the Big Red Boat. That was my daughter ‘s intro to cruising. I remember that where you booked your cabin had some impact on which pre-cruise hotel they put you at. And what hotel you were at once you were at WDW (I suppose that could have affected the precruise hotel). We were at a hotel in coco beach, the waiters at our table were so excited that my daughter would try things off the adult menu, while the family at our table would only order French fries for their 3.
