Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Maybe they were worried about cancellations which would have pushed the price down. I would have changed to a different week if I had known in January/February before I bought plans tickets and scheduled the time off with work.
  2. Here’s the answer. This stop has been canceled since December, NCL just didn’t tell us. Looks like this was decided in Dec 2023. https://www.newportthisweek.com/articles/newport-council-cancels-two-summer-cruise-ship-stops/
  3. I know thank you. Unfortunately I am locked into those days and have flights already paid for with that said I was simply expecting a company that I am paying a lot of money to for a vacation to provide an explanation as to why they changed the product I purchased. I have been on many cruises with changes due to weather etc no explanation needed but when you drop a port without an obvious reason I think the company could at least provide a reason.
  4. It didn’t say which is why I everyone is wondering. It said given recent guest feedback and too accommodate certain circumstances including but not limited to port availability, fuel optimization and our commitment to environment and sustainability and maritime regulations. So what reason do you get from that goobly gook? There are valid reasons to cancel ports and if there was a valid reason it should be communicated. My guess is the reason is likely not valid which is why they aren’t communicating it.
  5. It matters to me as well. As Newport was the main draw as I wanted to see the mansions.
  6. We paid $150 per person more to change from a balcony to club balcony about a year ago for our September New England cruise. The $43 a night difference was worth it for the more comfortable bathroom. Currently a regular balcony is selling $70 more per person than our club so I quite happy with what we paid for it.
  7. Please re-read the statement you quoted. It says he typically wears dockers. My question was asking if dockers were acceptable for all nights on the cruise. He does not want to pack or wear a suit.
  8. I am anxiously awaiting a trip on the Treasure for fall 2025. When is Disney likely to release those dates? TIA
  9. Can the bars make coffee, teas or hot chocolate with shots? TIA
  10. Thank you those links were very helpful.
  11. I am going on a cruise in January and plan on booking another cruise for the following January. I would be booking a balcony cabin. Currently there is a promotion for a $250 cruise next worth $500 on a future cruise for everyone. Should I get that or wait until my cruise in January to get the cruise next on board? TIA
  12. I am sure there is a post somewhere but I cannot find it. My husband and I typically cruise NCL or Disney but want to try Celebrity now that we are traveling without our children who are adults. Normally he wears a polo, dockers and dress shoes every night for dinner. This is acceptable for all nights on NCL and Disney. I looked at the Celebrity dress code and it references designer jeans for smart casual and smart chic. To my way of thinking dockers are dressier but I wanted to get confirmation as this will be the deciding factor on whether to try Celebrity. TIA
  13. Not sure why your button is not working. I got the same message until I was passed final payment.
