Regent Mariner Deck 7-Loud? Casinos...

Can anyone tell me if one should expect high levels of noise in the staterooms on Deck 7 (G category) on the Mariner? I ask bc the casinos are on that deck, and other common areas it looks like.

Though I know this isn't your average big ship, I'm still concerned. Thanks!

I looked at the deck plan on the Mariner -- deck 7 and did not see any "F" category suites. Is your suite above the casino on deck 8? You really should not hear any noise from the casino. The only suites I avoid on Regent ships are under a restaurant or the swimming pool (you hear scraping of chairs) or above a lounge that plays live music at night. You should be fine!:)

Spoke to a Regent rep and their take on it was that the casino is well insulated, noise cancelling doors, etc...and that noise would not be an issue. They said there's no guarantee on any deck that noise won't be an issue. Well, obviously, but logic would say some decks have more noise than others.

(Trying to get an idea whether or not doing a Wait List is a good idea.)

The casino is pretty far away from any suites on 7. And it isn't a big ship casino. Even walking right by it, which I did multiple times over the past 2 weeks, I didn't hear anything. The deck 7 suites are very popular, as evidences by the vast majority of them being occupied by full circle south America cruisers on our recent trip. We were lucky to get one.

Know many people who have sailed in those suites when they were cat G and they have never mentioned any probalem with noise from the Casino.

We were on deck 7 midway down once and found it most convenient to everything and had no issues with any noise. You should be fine.

We were lucky enough to get a cabin on the 7th floor on our last trip which was so convenient for me. Like everyone said, you definitely won't hear any casino noise. And, for the most part, you won't hear any other noise in the hallways.

Interestingly, the only time we heard anything on either of our Mariner cruises was the last night of the last cruise where our neighbor was having some kind of a "whoop de doo" farewell party with someone he had met onboard. It was insane how much we could hear, and slightly unnerving, but the guys weren't embarrassed at all when we saw them later that morning so good on them! :p
