Slot tournament on NCL

Does anyone know how much the slot tournament cost?

Not sure if I want to cash in 2,000 points/rewards to enter.

Thanks.

We were on the Star last month. The entry fee is $15 if you have a casino card or $20 if you don't. There will be qualifying rounds during the week. You can enter more than once if you like. The final round on the last seaday consists of the top 6 high scorers from the week. It's pretty much a winner-take-all tournament with the winner on our cruise getting $500. The first few runner-ups got a bottle of wine and the other finalists only a t-shirt.

Ok, now I remember I did do this once with a friend while hubby's looked on.

We just kept hitting the buttons to spin the wheels over and over again hitting those suckers like a SOB as fast as we could! Wound up with a t-shirt.

Not worth 2,000 reward points. But will probably join in the fun. :D

(I do have NCL casino card)

What is involved in getting a casino card?

Do the casino cards expire? I am sure the points to. I got one in 2007.

The points carry over for 18 months I think. I've been given a new card on each cruise although the number has been the same.

I didn't know the points carried over. Always got a new card. I should have my card from my Dec. 2010 cruise so hopefully it will have many points on it cfor my cruise in 2 months.

(guess I can kiss the points fron Sept. 2011 goodbye and be happy I just make the cutoff for Dec. which would be 17 months ago. Gonna just make it.)

Thanks for the info.

I don't think that new card necessarily means new number as long as with same cruise line. It would be s replacement cars, not new if I am not mistaken.

I think your pts from 2011 should be there.

When you get onboard, just go to the casino desk and ask them to transfer your points. You probably need to be able to tell on which ships you have been and the process should take about a day or so if they need to make enquiries from HQ etc.

Yes. You will get a new one on every cruise. I do not believe that the card from your previous cruise will work on your next one.

Points expire after 18 months.

DH made it to the final round with a group of 6. First prize was $500, second and third were cheap bubbly wine, and his 4th prize was a T-shirt. It is actually nice and worth about the $15 he paid to get in the tournament.

Image has the 4 suits listed across chest with a fish in the middle. Each suit is labeled underneath with the fish being labeled 'whatever'.

This was last week on the Star.
