Kauai Sightseeing

Does anyone know of a tour company that will pick up at the cruise terminal and then provide transportation and kayak tour of the Wailua River? It seems like quite a distance and maybe thats why I cant seem to find what I am looking for. We have visited Kauai before and this is really the only thing we would like to do.

Usually the excursions booked through the ship will have their vehicles allowed in this area as well as the free shuttles (for the Anchor Cove/Harbor Malls, Walmart stores). If you're booking an independent operator, you may need to arrange for a taxi.

I googled Wailua River Kayak and there seem to be several vendors. You would need to contact them about whether or not transportation can be provided, but my guess is the answer is probably no.

The other poster is correct that only authorized vehicles are allowed inside the port area. However, it is very possible to meet transportation at the gate if pick up is provided. I have only found one independent tour provider, ( not doing an excursion for the ship ) who had permission to come inside a port and that was in Hilo.

Most likely, you will need to use a rental car or a taxi to get to the tour office. Or, just book through the ship if they offer it.
