I am sailing on Spirit May 31st. I was excited to be going but NOW I am over-the-top excited.

Has this ship recently been through drydock? I am really digging the decor... reminds me of quite literally a floating resort hotel!!

Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying the pictures.

I don't remember exactly when the Spirit was last in Drydock or when she is due.

It has been a few years though. She does show her age. There are many places that need attention. Chipping paint, rails need to be re-varnished, plumbing problems, worn carpets, and furniture etc. I really think you won't notice unless you're looking for it.

My philosophy is to see and photograph the good and mentally note the not-so-good.

The Spirit was my first cruise also.

I also met my wonderful Wife on that Cruise.

In the next set of pictures you can see what happened 4 years later.

So on embarkation day we were pretty busy. We actually got married on the same ship that we met four years earlier.

I didn't take many pictures that day. Regrettably the only pictures I have from the Galaxy of the Stars are from our Wedding. I will post a couple but the rest will remain private.

I guess I have to book another Cruise

We cruised on the Spirit on a B2B last month and had a great time. The food quality is good overall and the crew is friendly and forthcoming.

We are already booked on her on another B2B next April in the Mediterranean and are really looking forward to see the improvements following its refurbishment in Jan 17 .

For an older ship, it is in a very good condition and the maintenance crew is doing a great job.
