Carnival transportation to the airport or independent

We will need transportation to the New Orleans airport from the port, our flights do not leave until 1:10, so we should have a good margin of time to catch the flight. Not sure if I am better booking the transportation that Carnival offers or whether I should find an independent option. There will be four of us. What are your experiences with either option?

I think I just responded to your post in the Gulf Coast departure forum. Taxi is probably the easiest. It will be $60 for 4 people ($15 pp) to MSY.
