Is Majesty leaving the fleet?

Have been looking at Internet and now realise the Mein Schiff ships sail under the TUI banner, the same as Thomson moved to in 2017. Like the look of the ships, about the same size as the Discoverys. Wonder if they are being refurbished too? Remember seeing a Mein Schiff ship in Dubrovnik and it looked massive to us as new cruisers, must have been one of the higher number vessels. Realise it is not that big having been docked next to Harmony Of The Seas last month.

Mein Schiff 1 is transferring from TUI next year but won't be called Discovery. she is the former Celebrity Galaxy

Mein Schiff 2 is transferring in 2019, she is the former Celebrity Mercury

My parents' first cruise was on Celebrity Galaxy to Alaska about 17 years ago. They absolutely loved her, a beautiful ship. I bet they'll want to go on her again!

They won't be called mein schiffs as that is the TUI cruise line ship names. There will be some refurbishment although they went through extensive and expensive updating when they moved to TUI. Check out their images online and I think you will be happy. Mein Schiff 4 will have to have a casino added as there isn't one at the moment, just a few machines.

Mentioning casinos reminds me that the one on discovery lacked a roulette table and had an electronic one instead. Not a good idea IMO as roulette is a popular game. Apparently having a real table would mean an extra dealer and they don't want to pay for that. Luckily she had 2 blackjack and 1 poker tables. As far as I am concerned I won't cruise on a ship without a casino.

DH won't either. As soon as I told him Discovery had only a tiny casino in a corner of a lounge, he immediately said "Don't book me on that one" I'm going on Discovery 2 with my Mum in June so I can suss it out then

Looked at the pair of Mein Schiff ships moving to Thomson and they look fine given a good paint job.

I think I read somewhere that the Mein Schiffs will be renamed Discovery 3,4 etc. Not very imaginative but nice ships.

Helen Carron and the polish capt on the discovery have said they won't be called discovery 3 and 4
