Eurodam/Zuiderdam (PE) and Nieuw Amsterdam/Oosterdam (KW) Sail-Aways - Feb 25, 2017

Two dam ships in Port Everglades and two dam ships in Key West today.

The Zuiderdam will be docked at Pier 21 (port alongside) and the Eurodam at Pier 26 (starboard alongside); they are scheduled to set sail at 16:00/4:00 PM ET (subject to change as always).

Just watched the Zuiderdam sail in, that's what we call a real pea souper. Even in the harbour she disappears from the camera.

I'm glad I didn't get up early to watch the sail-in - what a great non-view. Thankfully it should burn-off before sailaway.

Strange to have Zuidy in on Saturday, usually her schedule puts her here on Sun and Wed.

You know how people sometimes ask if the ships' fog horns get on the nerves of the people who live in the condos? Well, today is such a day. Long blasts every minute since around 5:30 AM. I can't see the jetty. Heck, I can barely make out the shoreline on the near side.

The fog is pretty heavy in FL and in Miami, but the view in Key West is very nice this morning.
