Any one recently boarded at Barcelona Cruise Terminal?

Just wanted to know how it went as last time we were there it was a nightmare, firstly having to queue for 50 minutes before having just our hand luggage screened then waiting 20 minutes for Heath forms to be given out, then not even allowed in front of long queue even though we were Perla Diamante & in a Suite.

Even the VIP lounge upstairs was closed.

Any info about boarding since last year would be appreciated.

Hi Tenpin

Boarded the Fascinosa early November and it was breeze. She only arrived at 14h00 though and we were there very early. We dropped our cases outside the terminal as usual and went up to the desks. There were only a couple of staff members but we booked in quickly and set off.

We returned later and went up to the VIP lounge which was a joke. Hot water for tea, no coffee and a few soft drinks.

We have boarded in Barcelona a few times now and never waited long. Savona is the worst for me.

Alicat

.

Two weeks ago, no problems. The ship didn't dock till 3pm so we dropped out cases off at 10am, checked in - no queues - and went into town. We came back at 4pm and went straight through security with no delays and were in our cabin by 4:15pm.

On the way home we arrived 6 hours early (due to missing out storm bound Palermo) and were allowed to stay on board till 2pm (flights at 9pm!). On our way out of the terminal we could see two small queues of people boarding (but not more than 6 per queue).

Thank you for your replies, I can now look forward to boarding at Barcelona.

Funny though Savona has always been the best terminal for us (apart from the USA ones) must have something to do with our flight times there arriving at terminal around 1.15pm.
