earn Posted January 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2013 Have mostly cruised RCI, but also carnival. thinking about MSC Poesia in caribbean in March. I am finding it difficult to find out what is included for non meakltime food and beverages. Will there be tea & coffee and something available to eat at least until midnight? Is there a cafe Promonade equivalent? Is there fre soft serve icecream? Can we buy soda pakcages for the kids? What price are those? MSc website doesn't give very good info on this and search is down. Thanks
AmoMondo Posted January 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2013 There are 24 hour beverage stations in the buffet area, where you can get tea, coffee and iced water. Buffet opening hours have been extended fleet wide to most ofnthe day now (sorry can't remember the hours exactly) it won't be full buffet all the time. They do afternoon tea as well where there are snacks, sandwiches and some desserts. Pizza bar opens longer than main buffet as does the grill for burgers and then like. Soft scoop ice cream is available for free but definitely worth paying the extra formthe real ice cream which is amazing. They have a soft drinksmpackage for kids called Peter Pan. It's a book of vouchers than can be used for non alcoholic cocktails, smoothies and fresh juices. They also got another one for canned fizzy drinks. Sorry don't know the prices on US sailings. I can't comment on the cafe promenade as I've never sailed on RCI so don't know what this is.

Skipper Tim Posted January 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2013 Buffet opening hours have been extended fleet wide to most ofnthe day now (sorry can't remember the hours exactly) Buffet times are now meant to be 20 hrs/day, 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Although announced, these times had not reached the Musica in November/December. I am yet to read the reports on other ships in the fleet or since.
PC168 Posted January 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2013 There is no cafe promenade (pizza Sorento) on MSC ships. Only bars and lounges.
