The new pack and play offers are out up to March and this is the sorriest most pathetic cruise offering I have ever see. Now they want $200 for a room with $100 credit which would still be good if they actually offered anything good. The only thing out of port canaveral is the Valor and those just go to freeport and nassau. They used to offer every ship out there a year ago but it seems those days are long gone as they have officially stopped caring about the big spenders so I will take my business to another cruise line or just stop cruising.

Just a follow-up - I received a PMI offer (bounce back offer) on my recent Valor cruise a couple of weeks ago. As usual, good for booking up to 6 months out. I chose the third week of Feb where there are more than a dozen cruises available that week. The first 10 had NO PMI cabins available at any level. I could see that the newest ships or longest cruises would be sold out, but to have almost no available offerings (that are all almost 6 months away) seemed very limiting...

I just received a Carnival Players' Club survey by e-mail. I noted my dissatisfaction with their policy of not awarding a bounce back if you have another Carnival Cruise booked. All in all, I am a little tired of Carnival and after my Ultra cruise in November, I have two Royal cruises booked. Both were casino offers. First one, paid only $400 for four nights in a balcony, includes taxes, fees and tips. The second, also a four night balcony on the Brilliance, $245 total (includes taxes, fees and tips). Carnival needs to step up their game.

I have a bounce back pmb offer, from my cruise last week. I wish i had a list of available cruises. I can't go again this year, out of vacay days. so I am looking at feb or march. They had 3 in feb... one had inside and oceanview sold out, so only thing available to me was balcony... which is not free... Then there are only 2 in March. I am consideirng booking feb. although that is not what i really want. They told me the next round of offers come out each Thursday. But I have to sail by 3/21. I am worried that if i wait to book, hoping something more preferrable gets added, if it doesnt the other choices might be gone.

Is there an easy way to find out which itineraries can be used for a bounceback? A list of some sort, like with the premier cruises? I'm feeling a bit frustrated as this is the first time we can utilize the offer, now we are having issues finding an itinerary.

Premiere cruises change itineraries and ships every time. No way of knowing until the come out. Call your pvp at carnival or the players club to see what cruises are available for bounce backs.

I understand about the premier cruises. It was very easy and no problem.

I'm having problems getting info on the available cruises for our bounceback. It's a free interior cabin, but we pay the taxes/port fees. We would most likely upgrade our cabin to a balcony.

As it stands now we're being told that we have to look for a cruise that we're interested in, and then call to see if that cruise is on the list of available bouncebacks.

We already have a cruise booked in a suite. We're considering cancelling it to schedule the bounceback. The casino rep said we can only use a bounceback on a new booking.

Our PVP said our current booking date on the Miracle isn't available for using the bounceback and there's nothing available at all for the Miracle. I've called two other times to check a couple itineraries, but so far neither available. Just seems crazy, difficult and time consuming.

Shouldn't we be able to at least call and get a list of the cruises that we can choose from?

Our PVP said no, we have to call as described above. We're frustrated and we now have less than 2 weeks to book the bounceback or lose it.

Does what were being told sound correct?

Any input would be much appreciated!

I also had trouble with bounce back. I thought it was good for any cruise. I had to call and give a date range and carnival told me what was available. You would think it would be good for any cruise. We were given an offer the last time we were on the Pride and were told we could not use it on the Pride. That's just silly.

Mlrm..Thank you for posting your experience. Right now it feels like they don't want us to book. I wasn't sure if it was just us. Sounds like we aren't the only ones having issues. This is at least our 3rd bounceback, but the 1st one we've ever been able to use..

On the card you receive for your bounce back, it does say limited sailings and not all ships or dates are available. I was told them what month i needed and what ports i was interested in sailing from, and they provided me what was available. There were only a few. And the one i am interested in might be gone now. They also told me new list comes out on Thursday. But the ones there now might not be there. One person told me they only add on to the end of the dates already posted which in my case was Late March. Another told me not necessarily. I may wait until tomorrow to see if somethin more to my liking is available.

Just call and give them the month you are interested in and ports you would like to sail from. Call the number on your card . I will say that one lady who answered checked on for me and said it was no longer available, them put me through to the actual casino extension, and they said it was still available. So if you are not sure about the answer you are getting try again. Good luck getting your sailing...

Is your original cruise before final payment... if so, cancel it and book your new one....

On a positive note. We were able to book a cruise on the Glory that fit our date range and were offered an insanely cheap upgrade to the Captain's Suite. $800 total.

We sail using bounce backs a lot. You have to keep in mind, the sailings are VERY limited...and they go quickly. For that reason, they won't send you a list, because it would be outdated as soon as they sent it.

We figure out the dates we are interested in, then call our PVP. He calls me back and let's me know what, if anything, is available. For example, last week we got one after sailing on the Ecstasy. I called my PVP and gave him the dates our kids are out of school...a week in February, and a couple of weeks in December. Looking at that, the ONLY cruise he could find us that was eligible for PMB code was a sailing on the Elation on Dec 17. Not our top choice, since both the ship and itinerary are so similar to what we just did...but it's a heck of a deal, so we'll take it! We had to decide quickly...because he can't hold it. We've lost some good options by waiting, even a day, in the past.

Hope that helps. It's kind of like shopping on a clearance rack...limited selection, but great deals.

I have sailed on several bounce back offers. I had thought that the PMI offer (which among other things if for up to 15 days and automatically includes the drinks on us card) would give me more choices than the PMB offer (I have had both, though I'm not sure that this is the case…

I received a PMI offer after my most recent cruise (about a month ago). Since I also have "school calendar issues" as a teacher, the only choices I had were Christmas week (Carnival is certainly not going to give a free cruise on the most expensive cruise week of the year…) or a week in February during the President's birthday holiday (a school vacation week). When I called in late August, I had about a dozen possible cruises that I thought might work for us that week - the first ten I asked about were not available. We were able to get a cabin on the Sunshine (6 days / 5 nights) that week - our total cost after we upgraded from a "free" inside cabin to the Grand Suite for 3 of us was less than $1,200 - so I'm quite satisfied for sure. However, as others have said, you do have to have some flexibility in your scheduling.

Thank you Bob!..So happy you were able to find a cruise and a great deal with the upgrade. I'm hopeful we can get this worked out for us too. We have about a 2 1/2 month time frame to work with. We have to travel in the off season, so hopefully that will work in our favor. Problem on our end seems to be that we aren't being given options for the time period. We're being told to find a cruise we're interested in and then call to see if it's available. So its been research on our end, then call back to find out if the cruise we find is available. Told no, then we find another cruise, call back, told no..and repeat over and over. This is where the problem is for us.

Where as you all are saying you give a time frame and the rep is giving you some cruises to choose from in that time frame.

My husband and myself both received PMI bounce back offers from our latest cruise on the Conquest. It was loaded onto our VIFP accounts so I could check availability on-line by cruise, not a list but at the actual cruise level. We ended up booking the Oct. 30th Dream cruise because hubby won the free entry to the Slot Tournament. We ended up booking the Grand Suite because weird as this may be it was actually cheaper than a balcony. Also our PVP could see what we had available.

Okay everybody..So here's what we found out today. This has been an issue not with "the casino" , but with our PVP not taking the initiative to offer to search for options for sailings for us, and having us do the work instead.

Thank you all so much all for your input. We spoke with someone today who took the time to do a search for us. I explained what we had been told and going through the last few days. She said that was totally ridiculous..We agree!..lol.

So, we are now getting choices for some itineraries that qualify for the bounceback offer. Plus, we were told that we can call back if the choices we were given don't work for us, as long as we book before the deadline.

All just likes you guys said..Thank you so so much!

I was on the fence about one I was thinking of taking but trying to find out who could go with me, so waited a bit, then got sick, so just a couple days from when it was available,it was gone. There were only 5 in the time frame and ports that would work for me, but when i called back, all were gone. I have until 10/6 to book but from what i am told, they only add to the list on thursdays, and once a cruise falls off, it stays off. So, I have one more shot at it, but was told, normally they just add to the latest date, which in that case will be after my sail by date. These special offers do book fast as they are very limited. So don't hesitate if you have one in mind. Good luck, and if there is a next time for me, I won't hesitate. :)

My PVP always emails me a spreadsheet with list of all available sailing dates for each debarkation port and ship.
