A great question from our next door neighbour on our recent cruise!

I met him in the corridor one afternoon, a few days into the cruise and he asked me - "does it bother you when I play my trumpet every afternoon?" My initial reply - "Seriously?" What we thought was the distant strains of a practise session in the cabaret lounge was our neighbour playing jazz with a mute in his trumpet! And he was very good too!

One of my officers on a Navy Battle Group staff loved to play the bagpipes, an instrument he learned while stationed in Scotland. He was not very good. Drove his roommate absolutely nuts and everyone within earshot, as well.
