Dubai Hotel

Hello Everyone,

We are arriving in Dubai the day before getting on a cruise ship (Nov 17).

There are numerous good hotels, can anyone recommend a hotel near the cruise port?

Thanks!

Malcolm

I suggest looking at a booking website such as hotels.com or booking.com and search by map setting.

That said, this question was brought up many, many times before. Just scroll down the list for a bit.

In the end, it is very easy and not expensive to get around Dubai by taxi.

Properties at Dubai Creek or Deira are convenient.

The Novotel or Pullman Deira City Center are good value, comfortable, a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport and attached / across the road from a decent shopping mall.

You may want to look at http://www.dubaicruiseterminal.com for more information

When looking for a hotel close to the port, any of the hotels located on the creek would be ideal, however you need to be on the right side of the creek, ie on the port side, as traffic is a nightmare in Dubai and the shortest journey, depending on time of day can take forever. Depending on how long you are in Dubai, you could consider one of the hotels by Dubai Mall, giving direct access to the Mall, the Palace downtown Dubai is lovely, then take the taxi to the port.

Were you planning time to explore a little of Dubai before boarding the ship? As others have said, there are many options that a short taxi ride would provide. Staying in the downtown area you would be near Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, and Dubai Fountains. The Palace Hotel, Al Manzil, Vida, The Address Downtown, The Address Dubai Mall.....your budget for this night would be the determining factor. Also, hotels along Sheik Zayed Road would be convenient, check out some of the Rotana properties. You would also have easy access to the metro system along SZR. Near the creek on the Burj Dubai side look at The Arabian Courtyard .

we stayed at the Arabian Courtyard and it was very easy to walk to the Metro about half a mile, the HOHO bus and Big Bus both stopped just short walk from the hotel. The creek area has lots of shops nearby even a grocery store to get soft drinks.
