Azamara Halong Bay excursion

Reading Cruise Critic reviews on Halong Bay some guests that travelled on Celebrity Millennium were tendered directly from the ship onto the Excursion boat instead of tendering ashore and then picking up the excursion boat, to me this makes sense and would be a good selling feature. Do Azamara do this on their Halong Bay full day tour please?

Just to add to the mix - on a similar size ship to AZ we anchored under the bridge - local boats were used to ferry us to land or to take directly to tours using the same boat from a large pontoon at the side of the ship as seen from the deck in the pic.

hi, the itinerary is showing an overnight tender for Halong Bay.

Our 2013 cruise also showed tender at Halong, but we were able to dock. It's a commercial port so it probably depends on their commercial activity.
