Can't wait!! SD2, Corsica, Sardinia, Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento then back to Rome.

Any tips for us from Italian cruisers? We've sailed SD before, but this itinerary is new for us so all tips gratefully received!

When in Amalfi or Positano consider renting your own boat with a captain to go up and down the coast to see and visit the smaller towns up close. They are as beautiful and charming if not more so. We booked ahead online with Amalfi Charter and had a truly memorable time last week. In Capri, skip the blue grotto tour and do the Capri with Love that takes you up to Anacapri and the chairlift to the mountain top. Take the Pompeii tour it is a must see sight. We are jealous as some places were crowded on our recent voyage though we had a great time. All the locals said Sept/October is the best time to visit as the weather should be splendid and no summer crowds!
