What have you ever done on a cruise that you have never done anywhere else?

Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

Watched shooting stars.

Seen whales and dolphins going past my room

Spent hours just looking at the sea and sky

Woken up at the crack of dawn to see Bora Bora come into view

Had a butler

Wined and dined without needing a taxi home

Watched glass being blown, a theatre performance and comic show all in one day!

Drank Bellini every day for breakfast

Dined with a Captain

Made new friends from 3 continents all in one evening

Relaxed, relaxed, relaxed......

Great idea for a post, looking forward to seeing the suggestions of others...

This may confuse a lot of you, but as a Dutchie, I learned to play MahJong aboard a HAL ship and now I only get to play while on a cruise. No tournaments in Holland:-(

I look forward to every sea day, just to get my MahJong fix in. :D

I saw a whale while playing mini-putt!

Ordered every dessert off the menu at a restaurant (I did have others help eat them!:o).

Sat on a balcony in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Had such engaging conversations with 3 other tables for 2 that we decided to all sit together on formal night so that we wouldn't have to talk so loud and disturb other guests.

Watched the Paralympic sailing completion (from my balcony).

Watch a medical evacuation by helicopter (:()

Only 4/6 of the time? My husband always laughs that I, who drink little at home, have to start my day with a Bellini before breakfast!

Watched hot glass being blown while sitting in the rain off the coast of Spain.

Crossed a creek three times uphill to reach a glacier.

Had adult beverages more than one day in a row.

Had an adult beverage before 5 p.m.

Flown in a helicopter over Kauai.

Flown in a plane over glaciers.

Kayaked around an island with countless bald eagles in the trees above watching.

Had room service breakfast 10 days in a row while watching the wake of the ship.

Had a shower while holding on for dear life in 20 foot seas.

Cooked with a Cordon Bleu-trained chef in her private home in Cozumel.

Had a good cry in the parking lot of the American Normandy Cemetery before even stepping inside.

Bought cross stitch magazines in a small shop in a small town in a corner of a small alley in France.

Played golf with monkeys on the course.

Played golf with giant lizards on the course.

Oh so many more!

On the Quantum of the Seas ( I know wrong board) I did the "I FLY". This was significant to me because I am an over 65 sort of chubby gal.

The instructor let me loose in the chamber and later told me I was natural. The others in our group all clapped. It was a real thrill....and I survived.

Driven home from dinner inebriated:)

LOL -- one of the great parts of being seated at the Captain's table. We knew who the designated driver was. :D

(And no, our gracious host did not indulge in any of the wonderful wines, being poured that evening!;))

-Fall asleep to one view outside my window and wake up to a new one(and it's always more beautiful than the last!).

-Hanging out and cracking jokes with Celebrity's first female ship captain.

-Drink specialty coffees for a week(or more)straight(I am a tea drinker at home).

-Someone else efficiently tidies my room and makes my bed every day.

-Stargazing/planet spotting in the middle of the ocean.

-Getting up before sunrise to watch the sun rise, not because I have to go to work.

- Take an afternoon nap every day in the spa and overlooking the bow of the ship for sail away (on NCL Pearl - extra charge for the spa).

- Celebration for the 100th departure of an MSC ship in Hamburg. We met with an MSC cargo ship on the Elbe and had a light show projected on us (not so much use for us) and then fireworks. This followed by a sailaway with "Con Te Partiro" playing in the background. It gave the sailaway a superb atmosphere.

- Having breakfast outside in the Oceanview Bar while sailing into Geiranger (Norwegian fjord) and passing the 7 sisters on one side and the Suitor with his wine bottle on the other side.

- Sit in a cantilevered whirlpool 60 meters above the sea and look down without vertigo.
