Forward cabins on the Oceania Riviera

You did the right thing. The Riviera is built like a ship, not a floating shoebox, so even though you're in one of her forward cabins, you're still roughly one hundred feet from the bow

This is the opposite side, but picture your cabin being over the first i in the name of the ship.

You're also going to love the extended veranda!

Upgraded to room 7003 on the Riviera in the Mediterranean in July. Supposedly has an extra large balcony. Am I making a mistake...too rocky or windy? What do you think?

We are big fans of extended balcony B3 cabins. IMO, they are the best value on the two O ships, particularly the four corner ones with the wrap-around railing.

Soon will be on Marina for about 3 weeks in 7108.

We prefer the aft B3 ones, one reason being that the forward ones are over the theater (which could or could not be a noise issue). Also, we generally find that aft is a smoother ride than forward (on any ship) and any cavitation vibrations at full speed is no worse in the back than anywhere else.

We were in 7008 on Marina in the Med, at the start of May, and it was perfect! No noise from the theatre (2 floors below us), and nothing but smooth sailing. The anchors were a shock at our one tender port.

We are in 7008 on Riviera in the Med again in Oct. Can't wait!!!

Thanks for putting me at ease. Room 7003 will be just fine. Just look for us over the "i" in Riviera (Thanks for the visual Jim and Stan) lying on my chaise lounge and drinking a pina colada. Lauri and Steve
