Balcony info needed. Coral, Ruby, and Emerald.

Which decks have covered balconies and do some decks have larger balconies than others? Thanks.

Caribe deck has the largest balconies. Thry are half covered and half open. You will love the size and arrangement. i always go for these. Make sure that you specifically reject the upgrade option. You probably won't get a mini or full suite, but may get a cabin on another deck with a smaller balcony.

I found this link on CC quite awhile ago. Obviously this cruiser put a lot of time into this map of the balconies. I hope it helps you in making your decision.

I second that vote for the Caribe deck -- spoiled indeed. We're on the Regal in a few weeks and on Caribe deck again though I know those balconies can't compare. BUT any cruise is a good cruise! 😎

On Emerald Princess (and I assume Ruby too as it is a sister ship), there are mini suites on emerald deck that have fully covered balconies.

Emerald: Caribe balconies are also the largest, with balconies that are partially covered/partially uncovered. Dolphin Deck mini suites are not as large as Caribe, but have decent space and are uncovered.

What are the pros and cons to having a bumped out balcony on the caribe deck if it isn't one of the corner cabins?

On the Coral, and her sister the Island, Princess, we always go for the Caribe deck. Large partially covered balconies.

On Ruby & Emerald and also Crown for the largest regular balcony cabin, Caribe deck is your best option for a larger balcony ... half covered/half open.

Note: All other regular balcony cabins are fully covered.

The deck plans for the Coral show premium balcony cabins as having more square footage on the Caribe deck than the bumped out balconies. Does anyone know the actual sqare footage of these balconies? The deck plans don't show balcony footage, just cabin.

OCruisers is distinguishing between mini-suite balconies and regular balconies.

The deck plan link is an excellent aid.

We just cruised on Dolphin deck 9 on the Ruby and, yes, we turned and looked up and waved at fellow passengers and even yelled out a few greetings.
