The Other Tom Posted September 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2016 ...or should I bring one from home. I might want to get a mug full of brewed coffee in the IC then go to the MDR for breakfast. I don't want to bother the servers by asking for brewed coffee as it would be more work for them. Nope, you either get a paper takeaway cup like Starbucks typeor a ceramic coffee cup to enioy on site. The insulated coffee cups are for sale. So yeah, bring your own! ansoninc Posted September 16, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 16, 2016 I got one when I bought a coffee card on Princess last year. I take it with me whenever I cruise on Princess. I take it to the buffet in the morning and fill it with coffee and hot chocolate. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

thinfool Posted September 17, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 17, 2016 The nice stainless steel Princess coffee mugs are about $5. Usually available at the table where they are selling the coffee cards.

Potstech Posted September 17, 2016 #12 Share Posted September 17, 2016 I got one with my last card for $5.00. It was barely worth the money. I now bring my own LLBean container and use it for the entire time. Keeps things warmer longer.

nipponcruiser Posted September 17, 2016 #15 Share Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) The barista Tania on our last Ruby Princess cruise (when we used our coffee cards for the first time) was so busy, she gave us two of the premium Iced Coffees, the one with the banana blended in AND 2 insulated coffee mugs and then she never punched our cards nor charged us for the mugs! :) It was the first time we were using coffee cards so we did not know at the time if it was just an oversight/mistake from her side. napunani Posted September 17, 2016 #16 Share Posted September 17, 2016 Nope - never got a mug with a coffee card purchase. We did get a COKE what I call a tumbler with a lid when we purchased the soda package.
JoRoy218 Posted September 17, 2016 #17 Share Posted September 17, 2016 I did get a slightly insulated stainless-type coffee "mug" with the Coffee card, but it was 5 yrs ago on the Coral in Alaska.
IDsailor Posted September 17, 2016 #18 Share Posted September 17, 2016 They used to give them away as part of the coupon books that you received when you got on board. Not any more.
ansoninc Posted September 17, 2016 #19 Share Posted September 17, 2016 Good point! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I may have paid $5.00 for it. Isn't that the cheapest you can buy anything for on a cruise ship? Diana Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Yes, I have four that I got that way. They have several rows of rubber-like dots so you can hold them when they get hot (or slippery), but no handles. They did sell them for five dollars. Mom33 Posted September 17, 2016 #22 Share Posted September 17, 2016 That question was a joke , right?? No, years ago, they did give us insulated mugs as a promotional tool. We have ours and bring them with us on our cruises. :D
Cancun01 Posted September 17, 2016 #23 Share Posted September 17, 2016 We received ours three years ago with a coupon from the coupon booklet the TAs used to give as a promotion. No additional charge.
IECalCruiser Posted September 17, 2016 #24 Share Posted September 17, 2016 Until around five years or so ago you would get a free insulated mug with the coffee card. I can't remember if you needed a coupon. Then they offered the mugs at a reduced price and I don't believe a coupon was required. We haven't bought a coffee card for years because we have traded in our Elite mini-bar for two coffee cards several times so I don't know if they are still selling the mug at a reduced price.
