Olden in May

I will be on the Cunard cruise to Norway this May, arriving in Olden on May 24. I had planned to take the public bus to the glacier, but when gathering details, I find that it does not begin it's schedule until June 1. Can anyone recommend another particular tour to the glacier, or should we just go to the Tourist Office and see what they have?

Olden is tiny. I doubt you can just turn up at the Tourist Office and find a tour. If the public bus isn't running but your ship has a glacier excursion, you may have to fork out for that.

I'm a do it yourselfer too, but found it best to do the ship's tour to the glacier. It was wonderful. The guide gave us interesting info on the way there with stops for photos. Once we arrived at the glacier, we went at our own pace.

When we arrived back at the boat, we independently walked into town and went through the old church. It was lovely.

This may be too late but I have booked a trip to the Glacier with a private company. Good price too.
