Any recent visits to The Sand Bar? (Cabo)

We are going back to Medano Beach next Spring. Last time we were there, it was right after the hurricane and options were a little limited.

Anyway, we are looking for a family friendly place to hang out for a few hours. The kids want to swim in the ocean and DH and I want to sit and have some drinks and food.

I've been looking into The Sand Bar. Has anybody been here recently? Thoughts? Pictures? :D

The Sand Bar is family friendly as well as Billigan's and next door to it, a little hole in the wall called Milky Way.

Billigan's was one of the party scenes but is under new management and has great food and a friendly atmosphere.

Yes they do, lots of them.

How is the swimming at the Sand Bar? Safe enough for kids, or is there a strong undertow?

Depends on the day.The time of year you are going probably won't have one because there is not storm activity in the spring, but there is a steep drop off. The water gets deep real fast. If they are not strong swimmers, they may need flotation devises.

It's become a favorite with people that live in Cabo full time because of the prices. If the locals go, that's where you want to be.

Yes, locals rarely go to Tabasco's anymore.
