Basel to the airport

i have an 8am flight out of Basel. We are docking the night before, so I was told that this was ok.

What is the best way to get to the airport?

How much time should I allow?

Last Friday we had a 6:30am flight out of Basel to Frankfort. Uniworld provided a transfer at 4am and that was more than enough time. The ride from the ship to the airport took 10-15 minutes; it's not far.
