City Pass

Recommended Posts

If you plan to visit all of the included sites anyway, then 100% worthwhile, but we found that a Go Card was far and away better value in SF. We did a one-day and managed to pack in well over $200pp of ticket-price value for $55pp - depending which things you plan to do your exact savings will vary, and I'd recommend against paying for a day if you can't use all of that day (e.g. if you're disembarking at 9am, include that day but if you're flying out mid-afternoon then skip the last day and just buy a shorter pass duration, then go somewhere not included in the pass on that last morning - since neither pass includes Alcatraz it's a good idea to do that).

We've used these in many cities now and never failed to save significant sums - while occasionally a City Pass has worked out better for us, we're generally very active when we travel so find that the greater number of included things in Go Cards work better for us. Plus in SF you get access to HOHO bus, which is very convenient for getting between almost all of the included sites.
